“We blew a tire on the interstate, put on a spare and made it to this tire shop. They had a tire that fit our wheel. They had it replaced and we were back on the road within 30 minutes! At a super affordable price too!”

“While visiting Haywood County as part of my quest to visit all 100 counties in NC, I found myself intrigued by the billboard for this gas station, so I stopped in for gas, a bathroom break, and to pick up a snack.
This is a very well maintained location with an excellent restroom and friendly staff.
My drives around the state have taken me to a lot of gas stations, and this one stands out above many. (I was there around 10am on 10-10-25, so shout out to the staff there that day!)
Fun side note - this was the first time I filled up my new car ?”

“I came here because I really needed a place to park. They don't have a lot of space, but they do have some. I went inside to inquire whether they charged for the parking, and they do not. Not only do they not charge, but they were two of the nicest people I have met in years. They recommend the restaurant next door, which unfortunately for me had just closed. She said they also do breakfast. Very nice and helpful. I really hope if you are coming pass this way, please come in and buy a little something to keep them in business, or at the very least, to say hi. I highly recommend stopping here.”

“I stopped here for a cold drink and a bathroom break. The store was nicely stocked and clean. The bathrooms were okay, but there aren’t any latches on the stalls. The doors wouldn’t stay shut, therefore there was no privacy. Management really should address this issue.”

“I never entered nor purchased anything on Friday evening, Aug 4, 2023, but rather had an incredibly scary incident at the gas pump. To Richard, Ofr Allison, the guy who bought me a coke, and everyone else whose goodwill and kindness saved the day, as if you all dropped down from heaven just for me. I got home to my little community safely. I went straight to Swain's ER and met even more strangers. I am home without any extreme damage, other than looking the way I do and an NFL sized football on my lower back. Thank you so so much for all of your time and care. I've been an overly patient caretaker for years now, but this was not necessarily the vacation I was looking for. “I'm a regular customer. I like the service so I basically avoid the gas station near me and go to this one just a little farther away but generally along my route anyway. They used to do awesome breakfast biscuits but thanks to the pandemic no more of that. It was definitely the best breakfast biscuits anywhere in town ... Kinda miss that ...”
“Usually dont have any problems here but this morning had to get gas in a hurry at 7:30 and they open at 7, but today the clerk said were not even open yet and I asked what time she opened and she wouldn't answer me and was hateful to me so if course that made me upset. As i walked to the pump I heard her talking about me to the next customer in line and he was looking at me embarrassed and then she made me wait before she turned the pump on! She about made me show my butt but I refrained!! Bad service from a lazy 30 minute late enployee!! This was on 5/02/2022 Monday 7:30am!!”
“Bathrooms! Terrible traffic jam for an hour, got off at this exit for the restroom. Exxon bathrooms were out of order and BP had a line of 30 women. This gas station is out of sight, but keep driving and it'll be on the left hand side. There's a restaurant and a full service repair shop but I didn't try those. 2 stalls in women's bathroom. They had soap, toilet paper, and paper towels = a valuable find on a road trip!”

“A year and a half ago I was late for class but needed gas so I went inside to pay and then quickly realized that I didn’t have a mask to wear to school. I asked the guy at the counter if they had any. A pack of the one use, a single one use, or even one of those weird gator necks. He told me that unfortunately they were all sold out and then proceeded to ask me if I needed one desperately. I told him yes, paid for my gas, and while handing me my receipt he said “Well I hope you’re trustworthy,” handed me his CAR KEYS, said “It’s the red one to the right of the store and I have masks in my glove box. Please don’t steal my car.” I went out, grabbed one from the glove box, locked his car, and returned his keys. He doesn’t work there anymore but I think about him everytime I get gas here. Also the lady at night that works there now is hilarious and so nice. She sings anything from Reba, Shania, and Garth to Ariana, Adele, and Beyoncé. Such a gem, she deserves the world.”
