Conover Hardware is a great store that has anything a customer could need and more. It carries tools, lawn and garden supplies, and rentals. It is a propane filling station, has a small engine repair shop, and is an Elite Stihl dealer. The store is super clean and well organized. The staff is very nice, helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Employees are well trained and always ask if help is needed. They take time to help and make customers feel at home. The service is quick and easy. The store provides excellent customer experience, as demonstrated when a customer purchased a chainsaw. Staff members were very cheerful and eager to help, providing patient service after the sale to resolve any issues. They offer compelling recommendations for both products and local services. Prices are very competitive with much less hassle than big box stores. Customers park close to the store. Many drive from other towns because it is worth the drive. The business has proudly served the Catawba Valley since 1974. Customers highly recommend this store and plan to return.

I stopped by last week w/ my 2 garden hose in hand. A young man sold me what I needed, connected them & explained what the problem was. He did this patiently and without looking at me like I was stupid. I really appreciated his customer service skills!

This place is amazing. Whatever I need for my weekend projects, these guys always have it. And are quick to offer assistance, as soon as I walk through the door. A level of service unmatched by the big box stores.
