“For folks in the country it is a blessing to have a reasonably priced store to buy everyday items. Anytime we ran out of anything out here it would cost twice the amount or more than a store in town. Having this dollar general here with a great location and fully stocked is a dream long past due.”

“Located in Fort Barnwell, NC it is the only place in this small community to purchase basic necessities. If on your way to Core Creek Landing this will most likely be a place to stop in and get your ice, sodas, snacks, and sometimes fuel for vehicles and or boats. Coffee and grill on site serving home cooked country breakfast, or lunch.Fuel is NOT always available so be sure to top off your fuel tanks before you get to this remote country location. Nearby cities/towns include Kinston, NewBern, Dover, & Cove City.”
