“I can’t thank the team at Mavis Tires & Brakes in Morganton enough. I was traveling back to Miami when I ran into an unexpected issue with my vehicle. Even though I came in at the last minute, they welcomed me without hesitation and got right to work.
The entire staff was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about helping me get back on the road safely. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure the repairs were done right. Their honesty and customer service gave me peace of mind during a stressful situation.

“I called embarassed because I am a 27 year old woman who knows exactly how to check and fill my own tires with air however, I did not have grip strength enough to take the lil tab off much less press it hard enough to test and fill. They said theres absolute no shame in it and thats why they are there. And told me any time I need help they will help me. It meant a lot because I really did feel shame but I cannot help my disabilities. They didnt make me feel ashamed at all and understood. It made my nerves go away and made me feel less shame”

“About a month ago, my wife was in an accident in Morganton. 4 hours away from home. When Eastern NC had the 1st snow of the year. She was stranded on a work trip. McCabes's stepped up in ways I could never repay. Looking at the vehicle and handling things when I could not. Service for someone they have never met. 100% best customer service and effort I have ever witnessed.”
“I hit an enormous bear who ran out of the woods right into my car on the Parkway. I put out a plea on Facebook for advice on the best place to have the damage repaired, and happily a friend from church told me to call Bob Keen's. They could not have been more helpful with the drop off of my car and pick up of the rental, which was complicated by the fact that I was leaving from there to go out of town with my dog. The damage to my car was more than I had realized, but they took such good car of everything, including dealing with my insurance company. When I picked it up, it looked better than it had in years!! I cannot recommend them enough! Be careful on the Parkway!!”

“I'm sorry if this is a little long. I really needed 2 front tires on my car (like really bad). I called Alray and asked if they happen to have 2 used tires that would fit and they said they did. Once I got there they told us that after looking at them (the 2 they had) one was really good and the other wasn't as good as the first one but still way better then what I currently had. They said that if I wanted it they wouldn't charge me for the one that wasn't as good. I was shocked bc they could have put them both on and charged me for both but they were honest and let me decide if I wanted it. Which I did take both. They were busy so it was a little bit of a wait but it was not an overly long wait.
So here's where it gets interesting I get the tires and leave make it to the car wash in drexel and "the good tire" is flat like flat flat. We had to stop and put the spare on flat. I called and told them and they asked if I could make it back and I said yes. One the phone and in person they apologize several times and I told the guy on the phone, it happens and we would come back. Once we got back they were able to replace both tires with some that were even better and did not charge me anymore.
It was hot and at this point I was just tired and wishing that we could just make some Flintstone tires and not have to deal with tire tires anymore.
My point here is I feel like Alray went above and beyond for us to make it right. They could have handled the situation several different ways and charged me more money but they did everything they could to make it right. Again it was not anyone's fault, things happen but I feel so blessed with the way they handled it.
Thank you guys so much for the way y'all handled it and reassured us that everything would be ok.
From now on anyone ask best place to get some tires this is my recommendation.”

“I went to get my inspection done today and to say I was impressed is not doing how I feel about their service, justice. I went to JIMZ service center last year for my inspection and was given a run around. I’m so glad Alray Tire is back in their Carbon City home! Everyone was so nice and listened when I spoke instead of seeing a woman walk through the door and wave me off. I felt comfortable and the service was quick. I’ve used their services often throughout the years from tires to inspections. They always do great and keep me well informed. I love how the can joke around and make it a fun and friendly atmosphere. Thank you for your help today and I’m so glad to see yall are thriving.”
“The front office staff was friendly, even though she was very busy she helped me in a very timely matter. They were able to fix the alternator on my 2007 GMC Sierra. They were also incredibly fast getting back to us about the needed repairs, as well They were extremely fast in getting the work done and getting me the truck back. Top notch service.”

Our car car hit and we took it to Dustin and could not be more pleased with the repairs. “Have a 2019 Subaru Forester Limited. Transmission needed to be replaced. Brand new CVT runs about $12,000 Mr. Throneburg told me the honest options. Trade it in, as is. Let him find me a used transmission with low miles on it. He installed it and also offered me a 6 month warranty on the used transmission. Everything for under $4,000. He told me what he had to do before he could get to my vehicle. Between a week for family and another 2 vehicles. He was able to make the exact date he estimated that he would have it ready. It was an unbelievable blessing to my family that he was able to get us back on the road for less than a third of what the factory would have charged. It likely would have taken anyone else 3 months to complete what took him 1. He spent an hour with me and my daughter after he installed new transmission... making sure everything was running as it should have. I would have had to take a huge loss trading it in as is. Still have a year left to pay on it. Needless to say, there is no one else in town or anywhere else I would have had do the work. He is the best transmission guy in Western NC. Maybe the entire state. He is also a big Star Wars fan so regardless of anything else there's that. He is the best. When you have any work done in your vehicle, you are uneasy. Not with Mr. Throneburg. He is an absolute expert and he is an honest man.”
