“Byrum Gift shop has a great selection of collegiate items, flags, photo frames, quick last minute gift items, kitchenware, and so much more. I love looking at the collegiate items, as I am an NC State fan and at Christmas they have NC State ornaments, plates, cups, and so much more. The staff are always so friendly and happy to help you. Great local business!”
“Helping a buddy fix up his late father's place in the Chowan we realized we had several places on the roof thst needed attention. They were the only place around with shingles and other roofing supplies. They couldn't have been more friendly. The ONLY reason it's not a 5 star is because when we pulled around and gave the worker our receipt he just walked away so he had to look thru the stacks of shingles to find the ones we purchased...he did have a commercial customer out there at the same time as well so I assume he was just busy at the moment so not a huge deal I just like to be honest. If I could do a 4.5 I would.”
“I always enjoy going to this store, but was very limited on time during this visit. I needed only 2 specific items. I had an eye injury & focusing in anything small & detailed was difficult. Thankfully I was greeted promptly. The older gentleman who assisted me was friendly & knowledgeable; knew exactly where the items were. The entire transaction took only minutes. Due to time constraints, I didn't browse through the craft area of the store today. But for some reason, that area of the store is always considerably darker than the rest of the store. Although they have a lot of interesting items, the combination of poor lighting & huge amount of merchandise in a comparatively small space makes for a challenging, at times difficult, shopping experience.”
“Its now called The Country Store. Prices are good and the meat is fresh. The meat is better than any place in Edenton or Hertford. They fill propane tanks too. They have basic dog and cat food too. Need fishing sinker? They have a good supply.”
