“As gas is getting more expensive, I'm looking to see what opportunities there are to save some money. I won't go way out of my way to save a dollar but I'll go a mile or three. As my car only has a 13 gallon tank, saving 20 cents a gallon isn't even $3. How much am I going to spend driving that far? But this Murphy was on the way back from my other detour in Elkin and it was convenient and cheaper. The gas pump area was clean with no trash. “I went in for some French fries. The people working there are really nice and friendly. The food is really good. Their fries are better than McDonald's. McDonald's used to be pretty good, but now all you taste is salt. Sheetz fixes everything fresh when you order it and it never sits under a heat lamp. Most of the time gas is cheaper there too.”

“We generally stop here when we are in Elkin and buy gas. They are a very busy station but a quick and easy "in and out " due to the location. My husband always gets coffee here because they have a great set up for coffee and it's always fresh and screaming hot. Circle K is pretty consistent and even though this is an older, and much smaller station compared to the new ones, it's a good place to go for a quick fill up...coffee and gas.”
