Truist, a banking institution, has faced some challenges in recent times. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the company has temporarily adjusted its services, limiting in-person visits and providing teller services primarily through drive-thru lanes. However, customers have reported experiencing long wait times and understaffing at some branch locations, with only a few employees working and lines extending out the door and around the drive-through. Despite the staffing issues, the employees are described as friendly. While the process of opening a new account was efficient, with a new checking and savings account set up within 20 minutes, some customers have experienced technology problems and financial errors since the merger of SunTrust and BB&T. As a result, some customers are considering changing banks, as Truist works to regain their trust.
