“I went in for L-shaped brackets which they were out of. I got some little peg brackets which worked good thing. The shelving that I was putting up didn’t have heavy things on it but I was charged $.43 apiece very expensive. I just needed a jigsaw to cut some wood. They recommended a couple places, but never did find no one to do it. I ended up borrowing the neighbors.”
“There's an old saying, you receive what you dish out. They treat me royal. Hercules is my go-to for cordless tools, with Byers fighting for the top spot. Pierce is unbeatable. The only downside is keeping the nail supply up with the demand”
“Small hometown hardware store. They are the service center for Hustler Raptor lawn mowers. I had broken my mower and needed parts. I went here, was served, no long wait and one of the best employees in the world helped me. We got a few other things and left. We will for sure be back. I highly recommend this place.”

“The evening crew is awesome. Done most of my shopping closer to their closing time. Doesn't matter if they are closing in 2 minutes they are nice to you (don't give you attitude or walk around huffing and puffing trying to rush you out like most places) and help you as if they have another two hours or more to work. Can't remember the guys name that is there every evening I've went in but he can tell you where something is in the store (aisle, what side and how far down the aisle it is) almost down to the shelf. They are super helpful and extremely kind. Love this place”

“This is a while back, maybe a year ago, but I came here to buy a power drill and wasn't really sure what I wanted. One of their employees, a veteran, was very kind and friendly. He saw me and asked if I needed any help so we talked about what I needed and he made some recommendations. He helped me get everything I needed and walked me to the register. I had a great and easy shopping experience here. I went to the Morganton location on a separate occasion after my visit at the Hickory location to buy another power tool and didn't have a great experience. I will definitely drive farther to the Hickory location because of my great interaction with their employee. (I was in the area visiting my mom, which is why I went to this location).”
“I am an electrician and stopped by Hickory CED this past week due to working out of town. I always use CED when possible due to the quality of electrical parts and materials. This CED is no exception. Friendly staff that was very helpful on getting me everything I needed for my repair. This particular CED has a very neat organized, and massive amount of hand tools, power tools, and tools to make an electricians job as easy as possible. It is always nice to be able to view and check out the newest items on the market. This store has put alot of thought into what tools they offer. I have been in the electrical trade for 31 years and these guys have the best of the best when it comes to tools. If your needing electrical tools or material stop by and vist this store!”
