“I've just moved to the area and have already visited this store many times. I love the store especially since the remodel. The only issues I have is the employees aren't too talkative and since the remodel they are out of Alot of things. It's clean and tidy though so that's a plus.”
“I like this place! They carry a variety of discounted items from food & drinks to vehicle accessories and pet items. They always have cool appliances and art supplies & a large book selection. I always find something here that either I didn't know I needed OR had never heard of before. Prices are reasonable as well.”

( with the exception of frozen food) I felt like I was in shoppers heaven! Finally; a good selection in a chain store! “This Dollar General was the exception to the rule! Most stores in this chain are worth an average of 2 stars. I gave this one 4 stars. These convenience stops in my hometown look like they have been raided. They all have low supplies and their shelves remind of the nursery rhyme: Old Mother Hubbard! Her cupboard was as empty as most Dollar General Stores I'm Gaffney, S.C. From conversation with store associates; they don't have adequate staffing! Please view my pictures of this one!”

Alex and Tommy let me use the employee bathroom because the public one was broken. They were not awkward or dismissive. I honestly thought the best a dollar tree could do was tell me to go somewhere else. But they were very kind to a customer who had.”
“A piece of metal punctured my tire on highway 5, thank God I was able to stop here! When I mentioned this to the store manager, Jodi, he didn’t hesitate to help! He got the piece of metal out of my tire and filled it up with his own personal air compressor he brought for occasions like this! A customer also pitched in to help patch my tire and get me on my way! I was so blessed by this kindness and amazing customer service!”

“I just made the best purchase of the day, two glass jugs, large, strong, thick glass, strong handles, actually beautiful, I had been looking for one like this for months, since glass is the best for serving juices or in my case we drink water boiled with herbs ? all in all super beautiful, the 2 for 6 dollars, it's worth it for the quality, even the cashier was surprised. “The store manager was really nice. My daughter & I came in to look for one specific item. She help me looked but we weren’t able to find it. She told me the item I’m looking for is a seasonal stocking stuffers even though it looked like Valentines. So she sent me to another store that might have it. So glad she did. I was able to find so many other things.”
“Claustrophobic store due to the large amount of products in a very tight space. Staff was very friendly except for the older lady on the register. The younger lady stocking the snack section was very kind to me and my daughter and helped us find an item she was looking for.”
“Out of all the Dollar General stores around Shelby NC this is the cleanest stores and fully stock! Not boxes waiting to be unloaded or anything and there is more than one person working! When they’re stocking the shelves I also see them cleaning it before putting the stuff on the shelves!!! I actually can go in and enjoy to shop and not feel like imma catch some type of infection just from walking in.”

“As you know with all $ stores, it's hit or miss. I was pleasantly surprised how clean and organized it was this time. I have been in this particular store and it's looked like a tornado blew through! The other note worthy thing to mention. EXCEPTIONAL customer care and service this visit. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. This was encouraging to say the least. I've been in this same location service.”
