“I like this place! They carry a variety of discounted items from food & drinks to vehicle accessories and pet items. They always have cool appliances and art supplies & a large book selection. I always find something here that either I didn't know I needed OR had never heard of before. Prices are reasonable as well.”
“I’ve been dropping by this little gem of a store for years and over time, gotten to know the employees each time I stop and shop. First off, it’s a slam dunk of a place to get salvage dry goods-esp if you’re into stuff like protein bars, plant protein, CANDY, and different snacks on the cheap that you never knew existed and now want to try. And for pennies on the dollar. Secondly, the employees there are loyal, kind and sweet people who have big hearts. And they’ve just completely redone the store with lots more freezer and fridge cases! It’s a fabulous stop for bulk frozen items if you’re cooking for a large crowd too! I like wandering in, saying hello and finding some cool ingredient like Japanese smoked tuna sauce for $2. Or truffle salt. And now we’re all hooked LOL I sure hope they get another mystery pallet with that liquid magic again soon. Thanks guys, yall the best. For the friendship, for the prices, for the help.❤ Keep keeping on.”

“Fantastic store! Neat, clean and organized. Fully stocked and employees were friendly. It was very hot inside the store because one of the employees said one of the air units was broken. Corporate needs to be all over that issue!! The employees were sweating!! They need extra pay for every day the air isn’t working correctly.”
“Lisa and her staff TRULY impressed me today. This was my first visit at this location. The store is SUPER organized and extremely clean! It was peaceful music playing to make my shopping experience pleasant! Her staff is top notch with genuine hellos ?? and have a great days from start to finish. I think I have found my favorite location. Dollar General.. you have a true gem in Lisa's leadership and it's shown just by the way she interacts with her guests and how she keeps her store clean and organized. “The store manager was really nice. My daughter & I came in to look for one specific item. She help me looked but we weren’t able to find it. She told me the item I’m looking for is a seasonal stocking stuffers even though it looked like Valentines. So she sent me to another store that might have it. So glad she did. I was able to find so many other things.”

“I shopped at Dollar General on Polkville Road in Shelby yesterday and it was a great experience! Cornelius was very nice and welcoming when I came into the store and even asked if I needed want help. I also noticed how busy he stayed and worked hard. “Claustrophobic store due to the large amount of products in a very tight space. Staff was very friendly except for the older lady on the register. The younger lady stocking the snack section was very kind to me and my daughter and helped us find an item she was looking for.”

“Out of all the Dollar General stores around Shelby NC this is the cleanest stores and fully stock! Not boxes waiting to be unloaded or anything and there is more than one person working! When they’re stocking the shelves I also see them cleaning it before putting the stuff on the shelves!!! I have been in this particular store and it's looked like a tornado blew through! The other note worthy thing to mention. EXCEPTIONAL customer care and service this visit. “Very Clean and the people working there don't act as if you're a bother if you ask about items you might not see, they're very courteous and helpful. They have groceries, items and snacks, canned goods and cooler stuff such as bacon, hamburger, ham, turkey, sausage and health and beauty items such as shampoo, tissue paper, lotions body washes small little place with a lot to offer. And with gas prices being up right now I will still go back to shop more”
