“I first went here when I discovered I had several transmission issues, John was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in letting me understand my issues and how to repair them. John recommended getting the synchrony card and I would have up to 6 months no interest to pay. I truck has been fixed and works like a charm almost 3 years now, I have taken all our vehicles here since and has never had any issues in and out with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the waiting room, they have a drop box so you can leave your keys after hours. We usually get our state inspections done here as well. John knows his stuff and I have never felt rushed or short changed whenever we go here for any service or advice, very trustworthy repair shop, I’m always very confident anytime going here and the prices seem just about average but less than others, I’ve always recommended neighbors and friends to John. If you need professional work that will exceed your expectations without breaking the bank this is the spot. I have a 2007 Nissan frontier with over 300,000 miles and still running like a champ, a 2017 mustang GT and a 2014 Hyundai sonata, all still runs perfectly. I can go on and on but just go see or call John at AAMCO Albemarle Rd. The best around that I would trust. 100% recommended”

“This is by far the best mechanic I have ever been to. Moving from rural East Tennessee to Charlotte and being a single mother of infant twins when your car has problems can be scary. Mechanics often times overcharge in big cities and especially a woman who knows nothing about cars. I stopped by one day and they were willing to help me even though they were already swamped. They fixed my car like new at a price that I couldn't have been happier with. Today I brought a new car to them to check out before I bought it and once again they were accommodating, friendly, and went above and beyond. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This place is really a life saver and 5 stars isn't enough for them.”

“I'm always skeptical going to a new place as I have been ripped off more than once, but this shop was like a breath of fresh air. Throughout the whole process they were totally honest with me about what was going on with my car, they never tried to overcharge me or sell me on things I didn't need. I don't know a thing about cars and usually that translates into shops taking advantage of me and wasting my money, but Tryon auto care has integrity. It's such a relief to finally have a shop that I know will be honest with me and upfront about pricing, and that isn't just trying to tell me something. If you are on the fence about using their services, please give them a try. This is by far the best experience I've had at an auto shop with great, honest staff. If I need anything in the future, this is where I will go.”

“Peter was the best!! I didn't have a way to get my car to him w/o towing it or catching a ride back home. He came & picked my car up & dropped it back off to me when he was finished. I got a quote before I decided to go with Peter & he charged me less that half of what the previous company quoted. He stayed in contact & let me know what parts I needed & didn't need. VERY reasonable pricing! Definitely will be working with him in the near future for other repairs I need, & will recommended him to anymore I know needs a mechanic!”

“Brought the car in to have the ac compressor replaced as well as the drier and switch. They only replaced the compressor and said that’s what was causing our issues. We said okay, we’ll trust you. Next day, wouldn’t ya know it the issue was still there.Brought the car back and said please just replace the drier and switch like we want. They said okay, and still only fixed a leak that they found. Again we figured we’d trust their judgement. Wouldn’t ya know it, same issue again.Finally brought it back a third time and they did the drier and switch like asked on our first trip. Air works great now under all conditions. They do good work, just might have to deal with them a little to get what you want done.”

“Had a very odd issue with my car where I was unable to remove my key from the ignition and could not shift gears. It was just stuck in neutral.From the process of getting my car towed to the shop and picking it up once the work was done was pleasant. I appreciate the staff's friendliness and their transparency of the diagnostic, what it could cost, and etc! Answered all my questions and put me at ease. I'll definitely be back whenever any car issues arise but I hope not anytime soon!”
