“I first went here when I discovered I had several transmission issues, John was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in letting me understand my issues and how to repair them. John recommended getting the synchrony card and I would have up to 6 months no interest to pay. I truck has been fixed and works like a charm almost 3 years now, I have taken all our vehicles here since and has never had any issues in and out with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the waiting room, they have a drop box so you can leave your keys after hours. We usually get our state inspections done here as well. John knows his stuff and I have never felt rushed or short changed whenever we go here for any service or advice, very trustworthy repair shop, I’m always very confident anytime going here and the prices seem just about average but less than others, I’ve always recommended neighbors and friends to John. If you need professional work that will exceed your expectations without breaking the bank this is the spot. I have a 2007 Nissan frontier with over 300,000 miles and still running like a champ, a 2017 mustang GT and a 2014 Hyundai sonata, all still runs perfectly. “Wow!! Thank you Joe and staff. I picked up my ole 87 240 from the shop today. She will be given to my daughter as her 1st car. I've been a Volvo owner for over 30 plus years. This car has been great, but needed a few new touches to make it a more reliable car for my daughter. Also as many of you know the AC these things go out and everyone including me is afraid to tackle this job. My old Volvo guy retired and need to find a person to trust. I had been with him for 15 years since I moved to Cabarrus County. Well when he retired I felt like I was lost, I has taken this to another general shop and just didn't get the feel. Well folks , I'm here to tell you that this place and Joe have the "Feel" . 1st time since I've had the car for almost 20 years the AC is COLD, did you hear that Cold. All new bushing so it's like on a cloud, we had new timing belt and H2O pump. All belts. Just a great job. Fair pricing for the knowledge and special tools to work on these old cars. Remember folks the 240 was ended in 93. So not many folks know the in and outs of them. I plan on taking my 91 wagon down to Joe for a few little things now. It is well worth the hour drive from way out in the Country were we live. Thanks again Joe!!”

Throughout the whole process they were totally honest with me about what was going on with my car, they never tried to overcharge me or sell me on things I didn't need. I don't know a thing about cars and usually that translates into shops taking advantage of me and wasting my money, but Tryon auto care has integrity. It's such a relief to finally have a shop that I know will be honest with me and upfront about pricing, and that isn't just trying to tell me something. If you are on the fence about using their services, please give them a try. This is by far the best experience I've had at an auto shop with great, honest staff. “This is by far the best mechanic I have ever been to. Moving from rural East Tennessee to Charlotte and being a single mother of infant twins when your car has problems can be scary. Mechanics often times overcharge in big cities and especially a woman who knows nothing about cars. I stopped by one day and they were willing to help me even though they were already swamped. They fixed my car like new at a price that I couldn't have been happier with. Today I brought a new car to them to check out before I bought it and once again they were accommodating, friendly, and went above and beyond. THANK YOU SO MUCH! “The short version is I had a wonderful experience with A.A.T Auto repair and I highly recommend them for your car repair needs.The long version is I was driving to Charlotte, had about an hour left of driving when my check engine charging system light came on. I made it close to my destination, but changed my route to an AutoZone. I missed the turn and my car started to stutter and j**** so I pulled into a Napa Auto Parts store that was very close, thinking it would provide the same battery services as AutoZone. The Napa employee said, “We don’t do that here.” I then tried to drive to the AutoZone, but couldn’t make it out of the parking lot. I called around asking about mobile services (none available) and called roadside assistance, which was an hour wait with no guarantee it was just a battery issue, so really would have only helped tow my car. As I was sitting in my car waiting for roadside assistance, I saw a sign for A.A.T Auto Repair. I called and I unfortunately did not get the man’s name, but he walked from his shop, tested my battery, pushed my car out of the parking spot because it wouldn’t reverse, then drove it back to his shop with the battery charger/hood up. This was Friday afternoon and the auto repair shop closed at 5p and is closed on the weekends. I explained I was only in town until Sunday. He proceeded to change the battery and alternator for me in a short period of time. It was very affordable. He was so kind and patient with me. My car has been perfect since the repairs and I made it back home safely on Sunday. I highly recommend A.A.T Auto Repair!Services: Auto engine diagnostic”

They claimed to have filled the fluid and that it leaked out within minutes. Took it down the road to Donnie. He said the fluid was empty, filled it up, monitored it and concluded there was no leak. Been driving it for months since without a problem.Highly recommend”

“I popped my tire on the passenger's side at a curb close to Giffins brimstone tire shop. At the corner of little Rock rd and Tuckassgee. I parked the car in the Food lion parking lot behind the subway and walk to their shop.A gentleman name John listen to what I needed. But my car was parked in the lot but not at their shop. He suggested I drive the car slowly over and park it next to his car in front of Giffins. John looked tired and here I arrive close to end of the day with more work for the shop. He didn't ever mention to me about closing shop, or come back Monday. Instead he had me wait and a mechanic will look at the damage. During that hour John was working with customer and I noticed more that he might not be feeling to good. So I asked him. He said he had been in the hospital a week or so ago. But today he still hasn't gotten better. Wow, he gets alot of kudos for being kind when serving his customers while feeling sick. Mi hope he gets better soon because he is a valuable employee at their shop.......AnywayLong story short. The rim was fixable and a new tire was put on. John kept me up to date on the progress of the work and options to fix the wheel during my time at the Giffin shop.After paying for the work he informed me the car needs a new wheel and be careful driving home because the wheel will cause the tire to wobble. I will still need to come back on Monday for a new wheel. They offered to bring me to work and pick me up from work at 1pm. I work down the street. I'm grateful for their customer service. Thank you John and Joe who was hammering out my wheel damage. You did a miracle. Both of you.Thank you Giffin.”
