“I have to take a moment to recognize the Havelock Walmart because it truly stands out. This is consistently one of the cleanest, most organized Walmart stores I have been in. The store is well maintained, easy to shop, and it’s obvious that the associates and management take pride in it.

What really makes this location exceptional, though, is the staff. The associates I’ve encountered are knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely helpful. There is a noticeable difference when employees know their store, are willing to help, and make customers feel welcome and that has repeatedly been my experience here.

I especially want to recognize the front-end team. They have been incredible. The front end has always been a positive part of shopping here, but over the last month or so, I’ve noticed an even greater improvement. Things seem to run smoothly, the area is organized, and the associates are attentive, friendly, and helpful even when things are busy. Whatever changes or additional focus have been happening recently are noticeable from a customer’s perspective.

Retail employees don’t always receive recognition when things are going well, so I wanted to make sure I said something. The Havelock Walmart has created a shopping experience that I genuinely appreciate, and the people working there deserve credit for that. Keep up the great work!”

“Always clean and has friendly staff. Prices sometimes aren't as cheap as off base or in town at big box stores, but it's convenient being on base making a quick stop when needed. Also being located next to the commisary is a plus for convenience.”

“I wish I could give this location a 5-star rating but I can't. The stores hands are tied as to just what they can and cannot do. However my overall experience has been good. No, not every time I go and God knows the lack of cashiers is enough to make you pull your hair out. Going through the self check-out, I don't want to speak on, having to go to work for Walmart cashiering my own groceries, waiting in yet another long line, waiting for that one person to be freed up to get help because you need a code for a product that has been reduced and you need a special key to purchase it, the shortage of cashiers I have found from North Carolina to Georgia, to California! I can't just say Havelock NC's store because that would not be the truth, and sometimes stocking isn't the best either. What I have found is employees and management that are willing and waiting with a smile, willing to leave what they're doing to help me find what you're looking for. Employees who have gone on their phones to let me know that although I went online searching for a product that I was told Walmart sold, it could only be purchased or ordered online, and it always comes with an apology be it someone working the floor or from management. If I would have any complaints about Walmart it wouldn't be from this level of service. Like when I get my vegetables home in a different light usually they don't and are not fresh! For instance the avocado's to many times are rotten, sad but true. So what I believed to have been a good price for a product actually isn't.”
