“Location was conveniently close to the exit and is in a spot which makes going anywhere you’d like easy and quick. The staff were informative and kind. Nice breakfast with a myriad of choices. Too, there’s fresh popcorn in the lobby - an unexpected treat! Our room was outside access, second floor. Very clean but a tad dated and could use a few fixes. There was some peeling along the top of the shower and what appeared to be spots of mold. The main ceiling also had visible hairline cracking. What bothered me the most was the front door. There were gaps all the way around and a sizable open space at the bottom. It left us feeling vulnerable, failed to dampen any outside noise, and the 10F frigid air came wafting in.Probably should’ve asked for a different room or a discount to be honest but it seemed very full and too cold to be traipsing from room to room.”

“We stay at a lot of Hiltons. Over all this one was nice. Only problems were the desk chair arm is broken. There was no paper and pen to write on in the desk. The shower hot water took 10 minutes to get hot. The shower pan was not clean. The pan has old soap residue/scum in it. It made the pan slippery to step into because the water pressure was so low that no water can reach the back of the shower pan to wash the soap residue/scum away. Makes us concerned we might catch athletes foot.”

“I recently stayed at Budget Inn Express with a friend and had a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, making sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. The room itself was clean and cozy, with all the necessary amenities such as a comfortable bed, clean linens, and a well-equipped kitchenette. We were also pleasantly surprised by the spacious bathroom with a luxurious shower.”

“The front desk staff was helpful and explained how the breakfast worked as I paid the extra money to get breakfast included. He also advised the best place to park to reach our 1st floor room. The room had enough room for us. I did not like that there were dogs on the same floor that we were on and in the next room. We could hear the little one barking at various times that night and in the morning. The location was great. The ambiance was very welcoming as well. I did not view the whole hotel, but what I saw was very nice. I even told my NC family about this hotel as none of us had ever stayed at a Crowne Plaza before. I am very familiar with IHG hotels and am a rewards member though. I also want to mention that breakfast is not free, but you can pay a little extra to get breakfast. The breakfast area was very nice and the waitress that we had, was lovely. This is a place that I think would make a great are for families to stay in. There are meeting rooms. There are also restaurants nearby like Cracker Barrel. It is in close proximity to the interstate as well.”

“I had the worst time ever with Red Roof Inn right down the street. Totally horrible angry people work at Red Roof .. so I cancelled the room. I went to Baymont. It was almost worth everything I put up with at Red Roof to find Baymont. The people at the Baymont Inn were as nice and helpful as can be. They went WAAYYY out of their way to accommodate me and I really appreciate it. David who I think is a night manager and the other night manager .. starts with a Z.. I wrote the name down but sadly, I can't find it.. both were great! So much better than Red Roof Inn and many other hotels I've stayed at.. there are no words for it. Wyndham knows how to hire! I've stayed everywhere and the staff here really cared and went the extra mile. I highly recommend Baymont Hickory as they provide the five star service you hope for but often never receive at other hotels..”
