“This was the most wonderful hotel we have ever stayed at! I can’t say enough good things about it. It is beautifully decorated and immaculate. They have made every effort to give attention to every detail and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. All of the staff are friendly and attentive you your every need. Their love for dogs shines from the moment you walk up to the front door. It was our anniversary and they made it extremely special!!! “The best spot within 300 miles of Chattanooga. The Highlands are a Hallmark movie in the flesh and Old Edwards is where you stay! It’s a fairy tale of excellence. Food is terrific! Service is top notch as always!”

“We had an incredible stay at 200 Main in Highlands. The service truly stood out. Caroline and Johanna went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our visit. The heated pool was a highlight, especially in the cool mountain air, and our room was perfect. The fireplace made it feel extra cozy and elevated the whole experience. We’ll absolutely be back.”

“First let's start off with the vibe. This location has a very unique vibe. The lobby leans heavily into the hippie vibe, which is a huge positive for me. It is very welcoming, and it starts things off on the right foot. The structure itself feels like a mountain cabin, and room itself has the feel also, down to the elk head mounted on the wall. It is a very cozy feel, and once again it is a change from the standard hotel room feel.

As far as the room itself, it is a standard functional room with appropriate climate control, refrigerator, comfy bed, and bathroom with shower. Nothing particularly notable, but most importantly everything is modern and functions well. Notably the refrigerator was stocked with a ecletic assortment of goodies including bottled coke, single origin Dominican Republic chocolate, and Vickie's pickle chips. While I did not partake of any of these, it was nice to have access to interesting options.

The lobby has access to frequent amenities such as nightly wine tasting and free banana bread some mornings. It also serves as a stand alone coffee bar, so it gives a place to start your day. Lastly I heard that there is an outdoor fire held to toast smores. Once again I didn't participate, but you receive a smore kit at check-in to do so.

The only mild quibble that I would have is that it is a 10-15 minute walk to downtown. This is both a plus and a minus. It is not super convenient to downtown, although still accessible. However, it also insulates you from much of the hussle and bussle during the day, so that in itself is a positive.

The staff and atmosphere and top notch here are absolutely wonderful, and I would highly recommend a stay here.”

“Quaint hotel with small rooms. Kind of a throwback. Rooms were clean, service was nice, coffee was delicious. Our room had a very very large humming noise which was a bit bothersome. Plus, there was no light!!!. The rooms Were extremely dim, and I had to use a flashlight to see my clothes. They need to increase the illumination in the rooms, at least on the upper left Elevated bank of rooms. My toilet ran all the time, but that’s a maintenance issue. Overall a decent stay.”
