“Drove three hours from Richmond, VA to buy a truck for my electrical contracting business from Martin at Hiester Chevrolet, and I'd do it again.
I was cross-shopping several Tacoma trims across multiple dealers, including one ten minutes from my house. Martin quoted me an out-the-door number, put it in writing, and that was the number I paid. No surprise fees, no additions at the finance desk, no renegotiating once I showed up. If you've ever had a dealer quote you one price and hand you a different one at signing, you know how rare that is - it's exactly why I ended up driving to North Carolina instead of buying locally.
I put a lot of trust in this dealership, coming from out of town with a trade-in and looking for a very specific vehicle and trim. They honored that trust and they honored my time. Martin greeted me by name as I got out of my car, had the truck ready, and took the time to walk me through the features rather than handing me the keys and moving on. They gave me a fair number on my trade. William in finance was efficient and knew his material.
Even though I was from out of state, Martin still walked me through parts and service and introduced me around. The dealership was clean, the process was clear, and everyone I dealt with was friendly and good at their job. I also noticed their support for the armed forces, which says something about the place. All the attention to detail shows how well management has dialed in the overall experience.
Their title department has stayed on top of the out-of-state paperwork since, reaching out proactively instead of leaving me to chase it.
If you're shopping and willing to travel, ask for Martin. Worth the drive.”
