“I normally do not leave reviews, but after my experience tonight I felt the need to share it. I visited the Norwood Food Lion and had one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in a long time, especially from someone in a leadership position. Jackie, who I was told was a manager/lead, was not helpful at all when I asked a simple question about an item I was looking for. The interaction came across dismissive and honestly made me feel like my business did not matter.

Because of the experience, I ended up driving all the way from Norwood to Marshville, with gas prices as high as they are, just to get what I needed instead of spending my money at the Norwood store.

What made the situation stand out even more was that I asked the same exact question at the Marshville Food Lion and the employee there was wonderful. She kindly checked for the item, came back, and politely explained they did not have any in stock. She even suggested I check the produce section because sometimes extras are placed there. She was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to assist me. Everyone at the Marshville location was great.

The difference in customer service between the two stores was night and day. Marshville was an awesome experience. I truly think the leadership at the Norwood location could benefit from additional customer service training.”
