Brought my vehicle in that evening for oil change and tire rotation and used the night drop box. Got a call the next morning they were finished and the gentleman answered a few more questions. Picked it up with no surprises. What I especially liked was the no pressure conversation about considering some fluid level changes based on the truck’s mileage. “I absolutely loved how straight forward they were. They were transparent as well. 99% of mechanics out there will lie straight to your face every time. I fix my vehicles myself whenever I can just to avoid even having to talk to these mainstream mechanic shop people. Tarheel 4wd was different. They were timely, identified a problem and fixed it. A problem I took my truck to 4 other mainstream mechanic shops for and they either couldn’t find the problem, made up a bs reason for the problem to be there, blamed it on my leveling kit, or wouldn’t look at it at all. She provided a fair ballpark estimate up front, kept me informed throughout the process, and called to confirm everything before the work was completed. “I had my 3/4 ton Suburban in for a transmission rebuild almost 5 years ago now. It's a 4L80E and was slipping badly. They had the truck about 3 weeks I think but told me the repair kit was "beefed up" and to this day it shifts a little hard into 2nd gear. Not that I mind it shifting hard. The transmission has worked flawlessly since! It even cost a little less than they quoted me in the end.”
