“On the decline with no longer having Cashpoints provide no fee transactions... Now they're asking $2+ per for anything that's not their bank issued. It probably costs members more than it does non-members, since members don't swear off in response to charges to their other cards. Yet, only $20 increments, unlike truist or others that have many denominations.I've also found they aren't reliable about standing behind fraud on my cashapp hacked account, because like most services they use debit card and PLAID and regular to using ACH (basically visa debit) to fund from SECU... SECU assumes I did it with a card and pin... Cashapp stored the pin and doesn't default yo asking or requiring it's own pin, so... Someone picks up your phone and opens cashapp and quicky sends a throwaway account funds in $2k amounts, 2-3 times, until weekly limit of $7k stops them.I noticed within 20-30 minutes. Logged in an online/app reported, challenged transfers, gave details, accurately and honestly, and attempted to stop payment on transactions.. AND spoke to customer service fraud teams at BOTH organizations. And followed every instruction, answered every question honestly, and waited about 2-3 days nervously having just lost about $6k from checking just before holidays early December.In the end, both rejected claims, no explanation AT ALL from cashapp, and requiring a warrant for the further details their official email response said I was allowed to request to understand their rational for not honoring their guarantees (SECU blamed ACH).Now both services are sending collectors after me with complete disregard for their failures, the crime involved, the ongoing impact on my finances, hammering my credit for payments that would gVe been funded (so long 760+ credit rating, despite 25 years of near perfect debt management and ever increasing unsolicited credit limits), meanwhile adding penalty percentage interest, and late fees (snowball cascades when unexpectedly unemployed - covid and inflation fallout), it's amazing how quickly something as small as $6k can reveal a major flaw in liquidity asset and liability management and cascade into an Avalanche).I thought SECU would be unlike dishonest big for profit banks. I get how cashapp (latest from eBay/PayPal) is expected to be impersonal, client disinterested, and accommodating of criminal and black market elements.. but i never thought SECU would treat a 30 year locally born and raised native member with near perfect payment/obligations record the same way cashapp does criminal operated fraudulent mostly anonymous accounts used to extort/con/back funds from honest users... how cashapp fails guarantees, fails good faith loss prevention, fails to implement basic security requirements except to silently bury the setting deep in options defaulted disabled.. who knew secu would behave worse.So, used to be solid 5 stars.. down to 4.... Headed to bottom if they don't find ways to do their promised part and help prevent even worse consequences to my finances.Secu is NO LONGER tbe culture and organization they once were, don't find that out the hard way like me.”
