“We had a great stay here in mid January. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Ours had a small kitchen - we didn’t cook but it did have an electric range, full fridge & microwave. Bed was comfortable and everything was very clean and in good working order. Staff we interacted with was friendly and professional. I liked the location a lot. Closed to restaurants but not so close as to be a problem with traffic or noise. I would definitely stay here when we are back in the area.”

“How is this place so affordable?
The price of this should be double what they charge.
My girlfriend and I have different tastes. I like the more classical look and she likes updated modern things. This place offered both.
We have a bureau, couch, nice chair, and an awesome king size bed. We also have a complete kitchen set plus the conventional hotel stuff. They even offer sit-down breakfast and it was amazing!
We've stayed at other similar neighboring establishments, which are also very nice, but they're not quite on the same caliper as this.
Their pool is great, their lawn is great, and my girlfriend says they have a cute garden.
If you have read to this point, book this place.”

“Check was smooth and the room kept clean. Nice balcony and view of the ocean. Shower was hot and the bed was a hair short of firm. Plenty of parking but keep in mind we visited toward the end of the season. We would stay there again.”

I recently visited the Outer Banks for Thanksgiving and stayed at the Comfort Inn South in Nags Head. From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out, my experience was truly exceptional.
Tavia and Sheena at the front desk exceeded every expectation. Their warm greetings, genuine smiles, and welcoming presence immediately set the tone for a wonderful stay. It’s clear that the entire team works hard to create a comforting, home-away-from-home environment for every guest.
What was meant to be a simple holiday getaway became something far more meaningful. My oceanfront room offered not just a beautiful view, but a peaceful, healing space where I felt safe, comfortable, and cared for. Every need I had was met with attentiveness and professionalism.
Thank you for making my stay so memorable. I highly recommend this location to anyone visiting the OBX. With so many lodging options available, this is one I will absolutely keep at the top of my list for future trips.

“Stayed here for a long weekend and had a really great experience! Check in was easy and maintenance was very friendly. Location couldn't have been better. We were right next to the pier which had a great restaurant we went to every day and very close to Jockeys Ridge. The room was studio style with a small kitchen and bathroom which served exactly what we needed for a 3 night stay, although could have updated appliances for longer stays. There was also a nice beach front patio that we enjoyed sitting at in the evenings to look at the stars. It was exactly the kind of lowkey and quaint beach front place we were looking for. It felt like being at home and not a hotel. There was also a pool, free wifi, free ice, and easy parking. They also allow pets for $25 a night if you want. Will definitely book here again!”

“I must say I really enjoyed my stay at fin and feather.the rooms were clean no bugs nowhere, it was very comfortable. We were moved to another room because of other customers that reserved our room but it was all good because we were moved to a bigger room,so I must say I recommend this place,little bit distance from anywhere and our dog Kanye enjoyed the stay as well.So thank you Fin and Feather for a nice vacation.”
