“One of my favorite discount stores in New Bern. I have been able to get some really nice stuff here. Ive gotten a Bluetooth speaker and dozens of other things including a charger for my phone from here. They also have a nice selection of books to choose from.”
“Mr Leroy in stock, was kind enough to take time from stocking items and assist me with finding the right cases of water I needed from the store. Just wanted to take this time to say thanks to him because he didn’t have to do
This but he did. Please recognize him for his contribution fronts in a positive way.”
“The store is evolving back to the Big Lots I knew. Today they had huge sales and as a bonus, I found a sofa sectional that was a fabulous price and is perfect for my space!”
“I quit going to Walmart back when the James city store opened. And a lot of their prices are at or lower than WM. And the quick & convenience I love it! Keep up the quality & great service!!!!”
“They have most staples needed to get through a typical day and then other things that you would not think about. Staying nearby on vacation and needed a few things. The manager today checked us out and was a nice guy (seems like a good catch for someone).”
“Stopped in a few weekends ago and had a wonderful experience! This DG seems larger than the ones I usually stop at. I was looking for a pool for my dogs. The cashier Ms. J was extremely helpful. I cannot emphasize how helpful she was! Plenty of parking. Store well stocked.”
“Fantastic dollar store, unlike the trash dollar store across the street in the Neuse Village shopping center.
The guy behind the counter was super cool and chill. He was very nice and it was an actual pleasure interacting with him.
The store layout is very nice and everything is clean and well stocked. I was able to find everything I wanted in a few mins and I went on with my day. They are much nicer to their customers and they didn't give me any issues with my backpack.
I will gladly go back there in the future when I'm in the area and I need some items at the dollar store.
10/10 customer service. Go out of your way to this store and stay away from the dollar store across the street in the shopping center. They don't like backpacks in that store over there and they hold your backpack hostage like savages.
This family dollar is way more professional and they actually care about their customers.”
“Dollar General, as usual, provides valuable price deals; that invariably impact the community it serves in a very good way.As people find the items they need at excellent prices!”
“I was in a hurry and the worker was very helpful in directing me to the aisle I needed. I was in and out with my purchase within 10 minutes. Truly thankful for that today!”
“Dollar General, receives plenty of competition for consumers attention! They certainly do a great job to earn trust,by providing excellent customer service, a varied inventory, which in turn; brings in a larger profit margin. This particular location has automatic doors & the shelves are usually stocked to the max.... Friends go on & get what your family needs,by visiting one of $ General, many locations.”

“Great deals for sure ! Bargains galore ! Book selection is great but hard to find because of a not so great organization of the books. Buying snacks for the kids can save you some money.”
