“I checked out in a regular lane and asked for tobacco products. They suspended my transaction to customer care. The employee behind the counter was helping another employee with a sub order. There was a lot of “well is it chicken or is it turkey? And why does it say whole if it’s only a half?” he never acknowledged me (a family of 4 with a crying 2 year old btw) HOWEVER, the sweet female employee named DONNA went out of her way to grab a manager to help ease the wait as she could tell everyone was ancy. She also apologized and said she wasn’t allowed to grab tobacco products herself or she would be helping. thank you to DONNA for being an exceptional employee all the stars above are for her and her only. Daniel, the manager finalized my transaction but the system took off two of my purchases so i had to go fishing back through my bags to rescan them. It’s not Daniel’s fault and he was apologetic. I may opt for a food lion next time instead of a Publix”

“I have shopping with this location for quite a while now.. It has become my preferred Food Lion location.
The store is consistently sparkling clean and well organized.. both of which are important to me.. being as I am.. a 72 yr old women.
My youngest son (39 yrs old) lives me.. so, most of the time, he shops with me.
We truly enjoy our enteractions with the employees. They are consistly helpful and quick to assist us, if need be .
We especially love their produce section.. The produce is fresh and well presented..
The store was renovated and updated several years ago.. The store manager did an superlative job.

“Pinedale Food Mart has the absolute BEST fountain Pepsi in eastern North Carolina and the ice for their fountain drinks is awesome. Their water goes through 7 filters before reaching the fountain drink station. The employees are helpful & very friendly. I love this place!”

“Super nice lady running cash register if you’re looking for bulk items without having to pay for a membership or driving an hour or two just to get to the store here’s your place they also sell non bulk items as well the place to go for funnel cake mix snow one syrup party supplies they have a bit of everything so go support a local business that has been around forever the lady working there noticed the rice crispys I was buying to make treats was out of date and gave them to me (did you know in NC stores are allowed to sell expired items as long as they discount them I didn’t)”
“Stopped in a few weekends ago and had a wonderful experience! This DG seems larger than the ones I usually stop at. I was looking for a pool for my dogs. The cashier Ms. J was extremely helpful. I cannot emphasize how helpful she was! Plenty of parking. Store well stocked.”

“This she'll is actually known by the locals as Merchants Grocery. They have a small grill and make great cheeseburgers, hot plates, etc. You can get fishing and hunting license, rent kayaks and they have a boat landing. The grill is open for breakfast and lunch and are usually very busy. Lana and Casey are great.”

“This review is really about the food as the atmosphere was weird but clean and service was fine other than 1 bizarre issue. This was my 1st time there. It's a market with 8 tables and a food window. I wasnt sure if I was supposed to sit and wait or just go to the window. I went to the window and mentioned it was my 1st time there and I wasnt sure where to go or what to do. THE GIRL DIDNT UNDERSTAND A WORD I SAID. And she had to take my order. She didn't understand what I wanted order either. Totally messed it up. I had to ask for someone that spoke English to make sure my order was correct but it was totally wrong. The 2nd person understood....took my order and off to my table I went. Food came and it was good. Not as good as Thai Angel but good for sure. Just a weird experience.”
