The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New Bern Riverfront offers a great location, easily walkable to town for restaurants and shopping, with fishing and boating on site. The hotel provides spacious, nice, clean, and comfortable rooms, many with an expansive and amazing river view of the harbor where the rivers meet. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. While some rooms may have minor maintenance issues like HVAC or door seals, and bathrooms are noted as super small or a little crowded, the staff is consistently outstanding, friendly, helpful, and professional. Service at the front desk is impeccable. Although breakfast is not included and is a typical paid buffet, the food from room service is quite good. The overall atmosphere, with its view, comfortable rooms, reasonable price point, and proximity to attractions, makes it a great place to stay.
