“Richard is the best person in 5 planets. Give him a pay increase due his great customer service and saving the day. I was packed and checking out. Plus I got attacked by a big dog out of control.”

“I stayed on the fifth floor overlooking the marina where you could also watch the sunrise. That location is within walking distance of all the restaurants in downtown New Bern. It is a little outdated but the location makes up for this, IMO.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They offer warm cookies and bottled water at no charge.
There’s a restaurant on site and you can sit next to the pool, which is right next to the marina.”

“Overall, the hotel is in an excellent location, and if you’re able to get a room with a view, it’s really lovely. It’s very convenient to the main downtown area. The rooms are fairly standard, and the price is on the higher side, but you’re mostly paying for the location. I liked having the mini-fridge, though a microwave in the room would’ve been nice. The curtains were old, cracked, and too short to fully block out the sunlight, which let in quite a bit in the morning. I would stay here again, though I’d also consider trying other hotels or bed-and-breakfasts in the area.”
“Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean but did smell like smoke. Nice view of the water. Just over the bridge to all the shops and food. Great location.”
“This is an excellent and lovely facility. The room was so beautiful, but in our room, the TV was on a side wall from bed, so it was uncomfortable to watch a movie, which is something we like to do when traveling. The e-hotel thing was different, and I thought it would not bother me. It didn't really, but this is such a gracious, Southern hotel, it seemed sad you never got to talk to anyone or be welcomed. Sign of our times, I suppose. I think the most important thing to know about this hotel is that if you happen to be on the third floor or even second, there are tall steps and stairs and no elevator, porters or bellmen to assist. Just make sure that is known to anyone who needs to know that before booking. I think the website does say this, but not sure I fully understood. Otherwise it was lovely, and we enjoyed it very much. When we did need something, an anonymous helper texted and told us what to do.”
