“I chose Black's based on reviews, not price. I went in for an alignment on my 2016 T&C. In the waiting room I could tell they were pleasant and professional to all their customers including myself and were identifying; but not trying to sell, service that may need to be completed on vehicles in the future. I heard them discussing how to get parts quickly to service their customers. The time it took to service was half what was initially quoted and the charge was competitive to other shops in the area. Highly recommend. Also Ron, thanks for the compliment on the Struts, my son and I put those in.”

“We came to New Bern from out of town yesterday and our truck's engine light started flashing when we got close to the town. We came to Black's Auto Service first thing in the morning. The manager Talyn squeezed us in their busy schedule. He and his service technician Matt stayed till 4pm to finish our repairs, three hours after their normal closing time. Talyn also gave us a very reasonable price when he could easily took advantage of the situation. We cannot thank him enough for his professionalism, integrity, and kindness. We wouldn't know what we would have done without them.”

“Let me tell you, I pulled up with screeching brakes and they was like mam we can fix them right now, because it is not safe to drive. There customer service was over the top!!! Took them about 45mins to change both front brakes. The pricing was magnificent!! Yes sir, I approve big Tim's Tire. “Only a few blocks off the main streets of New Bern, and it's well worth the stop. Pap, the owner is gentle soul, easy to work with prices, and we spent as much-loved time talking with him as we did shopping. Great selection from newer, mid modern to antique. There were gems that we passed up. We were pleased with our purchase, price point, and our visit with Pap. Please visit a local owner, be patient as he also has a service center next door which is the entrance. I enjoy a place where you can actually have a conversation about reasonable offers.”

“I was so thankful that Mr. Tire was open on Sunday! They got me in within an hour! My low pressure tire sensor had came on and for me that usually means a screw or nail in a tire. Whenever something like this happens I get nervous and worried. Luther, the young man who helped me, went above and beyond normal customer service! He first checked the tire pressure and it turned out that's all it was! All four tires needed to be inflated. He explained to me why that may have happened and showed me where to look to see what tire pressure my tires should be in case it happens again. I know to many this may not have seemed liked a big deal, to me it was everything. Luther could have told me something was wrong with my tire, etc. I so appreciated his kindness, professionalism, honesty, and knowledge. Thank you again, Luther! I will be back!”
“Ethan is a 5 star mechanic and hunter is a good manager. My A/C had stopped working a year before and I believed it was the compressor. Ethan diagnosed it and was completely honest that the Freon had just leaked out due to a bad valve. I recommend going to them if you have any issues. Ethan saved me a lot of money and was honest! That’s rare!”

I told him I thought my tires needed a patch and he suggested I come in to get them checked, which I did. He was so helped and very attentive. He made me feel heard .
