“I chose Black's based on reviews, not price. I went in for an alignment on my 2016 T&C. In the waiting room I could tell they were pleasant and professional to all their customers including myself and were identifying; but not trying to sell, service that may need to be completed on vehicles in the future. I heard them discussing how to get parts quickly to service their customers. The time it took to service was half what was initially quoted and the charge was competitive to other shops in the area. Highly recommend. Also Ron, thanks for the compliment on the Struts, my son and I put those in.”

“We came to New Bern from out of town yesterday and our truck's engine light started flashing when we got close to the town. We came to Black's Auto Service first thing in the morning. The manager Talyn squeezed us in their busy schedule. He and his service technician Matt stayed till 4pm to finish our repairs, three hours after their normal closing time. Talyn also gave us a very reasonable price when he could easily took advantage of the situation. We cannot thank him enough for his professionalism, integrity, and kindness. We wouldn't know what we would have done without them.”

“I actually stopped by there yesterday as I had a bell that would not stop dinging and they could not do anything at that point but said to drop it off this morning and they would try to work it in, although they did have a full schedule. So we scheduled it for Monday just in case it couldn't be completed today. I dropped it off at 8:30 this morning and I got a text at 1:09 pm stating it was ready to be picked up. They could not find the part that was needed but fortunately they were able to build one that worked and now I have a car that is in great shape. Once again. I am very thankful for their service and I felt the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend them for auto service. I have been using Thurman Auto Service since 2020 when I moved to this area. Although it is under New Management now, I have been there twice and have been very impressed with their service and Tony's explanation of things to make sure I understand what's going on.”

“My husband’s truck broke down yesterday and instead of taking it to his usual VERY EXPENSIVE, SLOW mechanic we had it towed here where we go for our inspection! The truck was fixed quickly and runs great, staff is very friendly and the mechanic was great! His usual mechanic said it would take a week to repair and the price quoted was ridiculous. I got it fixed here in two hours and saved a lot of money! This place is great, thank you!! Customer for life!”

“Let me tell you, I pulled up with screeching brakes and they was like mam we can fix them right now, because it is not safe to drive. There customer service was over the top!!! “Absolutely the best service!! They were the most honest mechanic shop I have ever taken a car to. They looked it over and quoted me a price for parts and labor. Then when they completed the work they called and said there wasn't as much needed as they thought and it came out to less than half what they quoted me. Y'all in my 58 years I have never had that happen. They could have charged me the initial price and I never would have known!! Honest mechanics do exist and they are at J & J Automotive.”
