“Freedom House Thrift is one of my favorite spots in Greensboro. I have found everything here from dining china and small appliances to books, clothes, and furniture at very reasonable prices. I really like that they use colored tags and have weekly deals because it makes thrifting fun and affordable. The store is always clean and organized, and the staff are kind and welcoming. It is a great place to shop if you love a good find and want to support a meaningful cause!”

“Plenty of variable quality merchandise! You need to be really careful with your purchases! I bought a backpack and once I got it home I noticed that the straps were barely hanging on! I used it one time and they pulled out! YIKES MAN! Now, I can see, so I can probably repair this by tacking them back to the body of the backpack. But this is a lesson about how you really need to inspect what you purchase before you leave the store. Still, I am living on a Social Security Disability check so this beats paying full price for things any day!”

“I called the office to verify that they accept gently used books. The staff was very nice and provided instructions about the donation drop off location (behind building). When I pulled up and honked (per sign posted), I was cordially greeted by staff and they carried the box out of my trunk. In my experience, they always offer to give you a receipt of your donations. Overall, this is a good way to give back to the community and I hope someone else can enjoy a good reading.”
