I'd heard Uwharrie was friendly and like the old days of banking, so I gave them a try, wanting to avoid the big banks I use now with their terrible service.The experience has been amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who take care things instead of directing you to a website or toll free #. Even the online tech support is in NC. They also have a beautiful lobby that isn't slammed packed and a drive through.If you like 21st century technology but prefer 20th century style customer service from your bank, give Uwharrie a try.”
“I never had an issue when going here. Honest and real people, friendly too. They helped me get a new card when I noticed unexplained activity on my checking account and I got refunded money from the bank to make up for the fraudulent purchase. I got a temporary new card and a permanent new card soon after. Thanks staff :)”

“I called the branch today to ask if the lobby was open for business . The polite employee, Ann, informed me that it was not open except by appointment. Then she asked what I needed. I told her that I needed to exchange a lot of small bills for large bills. She told me she would do it if I called her from the parking lot when I arrived. That's what I did. She let me in and made the transaction. I really appreciate good customer service and she provided just that.”
