These ladies have been absolutely wonderful and always put his welfare first. If I request a certain cut that can’t be done for whatever reason, they always explain to me why and may recommend another cut that is best for my fur baby. They always put the fur babies best interest first and I fully appreciate that! They do an excellent job! Thank you ladies!

915 US-158, Roanoke RapidsI don’t live in this area, I was driving through to TN with my two dogs when I spotted a turtle that has been hit by a car on the highway. The turtle had obvious signs of being fatally wounded, but sadly was very much alive still. I went to three vets to beg for help euthanizing the sad, suffering little guy. I was turned away from them all with no guidance on what to do next. By the time I got to Lake country, I was an emotional mess, and not only was I and this suffering turtle treated with understanding and compassion, they took him in free of charge for euthanasia (despite their policy of not taking in turtles for vet care). I am forever grateful for the staff here and the vet who was compassionate enough to help end the suffering of this very deserving special creature. ? ?

Stella's Puppies and Dogs Obedience School
947 NC-48, Roanoke RapidsI purchased a puppy from Stella’s Puppies and Dogs Obedience School. First, let me say I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and knowledge of the proprietors. Sam and Rethella are very friendly. When I went to pick the puppy up I was in awe of the grounds. The mother of the puppy was available for me to view, she was beautifully kept and obedient to the owner. I was allowed to view the kennel area where the puppies were kept. The area is very clean, and odorless. The puppy’s were very happy (tails wagging),active, vocal and extremely responsive to my presence. They also are well kept and well fed. I’ve had Abby (my puppy) for well over a month and can tell you she is extremely intelligent, and rather easy to train. She learned her name in a matter of a day and is very active. I will DEFINITELY go to Stella’s Puppies and Dogs Obedience School when I choose to add another canine to the family. Thanks so much Sam and Rethella!!!
