“Great store. Has just about everything you would need! Shelves are pretty well stocked and the staff is friendly. I live in Indian Beach and it is nice not to have to to AB or EI for most grocery items!”

“By far the best grocery store in the area. Meat department is amazing and the produce is just as good. Bought some navel oranges a few days ago that are unreal good! Manager is always ensuring customers needs are met and I noticed how well she treated the young guy working the meat department. Keep up the great work!!!”
“Great store and even better employees! I worked retail for over 15 years and I have never, ever been in a store with such great customer service. Every single employee we encountered went above and beyond helping, providing friendly, down to earth excellence! We are from Chapel Hill on vacation but if we lived here this would permanently be our Food Lion! Thank you and awesome job everyone!”

“I drive past two other food lions just to come to the Newport one. The employees at this location are so sweet. Mrs. Emily always remembers my kids and what they talk about with her. The managers are great, the store is always clean, to-go pick up is nice for the weeks I don’t go in, and so much more.”
“We used to go to Food Lion but after visiting Harris Teeter, it is our go to. The selection is outstanding, the store is clean, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They also have a pharmacy that offers great service.”
“The Food Lion on Emerald Isle has reasonable prices, MVP rewards, they are well stocked, and the employees are always friendly and seem very happy. I travel across the bridge because the local food store in Cape Carteret's prices are practically double!”
“They have everything, except enough mobility scooters. There are a lot of elderly retired military in this area and there are often not enough scooters or the scooters aren't charged.”

“I’ve never stopped at this Dollar General before, but I was genuinely impressed. The store immediately smelled clean, everything was neat and organized, and the staff was incredibly helpful. I had my son with me, and the store manager, Jessie, was so kind—she even gave my son a chocolate bar for a fundraiser (after asking my permission), which I really appreciated. She took the time to talk with us and was warm, friendly, and professional. Honestly, not even joking—this is the best Dollar General I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend! Disappointed to see some other comments…do not agree.”

“Have not went in yet and had a bad experience. Have nothing negative to say about the current employees. Store is a bit clustered and things need to be pulled to the front of the shelves and items need to be put in the correct spot other than that, groovy.”
