“Was coming from up North on my way to visit some friends in Salisbury before I head home to Tennessee. AC was not working the whole trip but got away with it until I hit Virginia.
Called up Kyle at 3:00 p.m, he said to come in and he'd check it out. An hour later the system was diagnosed and charged. He explained things well and was a good person. If I come through this way again and anything is not working with the van I would come back here.”

Pricing is fair because they have lower overhead than the majority of shops out there. A true family business with salt-of-the-earth values, you can be confident they won't rip you off. We recently sent a friend there for a repair. She was told they could do it and charge her for it, but if she took the car to a dealership the repair would be covered free of charge. Honesty if a rare, therefore valuable thing these days.
We have a 2012 Subaru Outback with 270k miles on it, in no small part thanks to the depth of knowledge and level of caring you may not find anywhere other than at Higgins Automotive. It will likely be our teenager's first car. We will only purchase pre-owned Subaru from now on primarily for their safety and reliability. However, Higgins and the value of services they provide are absolutely the second reason why.”

“This is a great place to have your vehicle repaired. I’ve been there two times this week. The owners are very nice and make you feel appreciated. I retired from the collision repair industry in March of 2025 and I’ve been looking for a honest shop. I stopped in by accident and I’m glad I did. I don’t usually recommend places but I highly recommended this shop. The entire team are friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks Robin for the work on my vehicle. I’ll be sending you some customers. Oh, and the propane is the cheapest around. Great to see honest shops still exist.”
“I called this place on a whim when my Honda Odyssey broke down off exit 81 Long Ferry Rd in Spencer, NC. at the Handy Hugo. I got out and checked and realized it was my CV axle on the driver's side was broke. So I called this place and got a hold of Dwayne the owner and he was absolutely phenomenal to deal with. He understood the urgency of my issue and got my vehicle in right away. I had a CV axle in the vehicle but it was for the wrong side so Dwayne got me one right away had it put on and done within no time. He's a great mechanic and does awesome work and I'm so glad that I found him and will continue to use him for all my car issues. If your looking for a good honest mechanic who does quality work for a fair price then Dwayne is your guy! I highly recommend Dwayne for all your car needs and you won't be disappointed either!!!”

“I’ve been going to this place for over 12 years and I’m very pleased with their service. Today was even a good experience. I took my Slingshot to get inspected. It was a little cold this morning so I had on my leather riding gloves. Went to the tag place and remembered that I left my gloves. Wasn’t gone for 7 minutes and my gloves weren’t on the table where I left them. There’s a thief in the building. When my customers came to my store, left anything, it would be there when they returned. Jeremy is an excellent guy but he needs to reevaluate his employees”

“I can’t say enough good things about Steve and all the guys at Cardinal tire, I got a new wheel set up put on my truck with a different tire shop and after multiple attempts they couldn’t seem to figure out how to get it to ride smoothly, I brought it to Steve’s shop which I should’ve done from the beginning and they did there magic and now all future speeding ticket costs will be forwarded to Cardinal tire cause i can’t tell if I’m doing 30 mile an hour or 120 it rides so good. If you need anything wheel and tire related bring it to these guys you won’t regret it.”
