“Most food lions are the same no matter where you go. But customer service is what makes the difference. I didn't catch the girls name that checked me out, but the receit said it was cashier 0230, but she was excellent . Very friendly and asked several times if I wanted certain things bagged or not or if I needed it doubled bagged. I usually have to ask for my drinks and milk to be bagged. Every employee I ran into was nice and friendly. Plus I found my cotton candy grapes there.”

“Down home grocery store! Food King offers the same thing that larger stores( Food Lion) offer but at a fraction of the price! No other store around compares on their meat prices & Donald don’t mind cutting something special for his customers. Billy is a great manager & all around person who you can actually tell cares about his customers! Paula & Regina always go out of their way to speak to everyone & make you feel welcomed & Jennifer also goes the extra mile to help her customers with questions & cutting produce for those who request it!! You’re not going to find a better place to shop than Food King!! The only thing that would make it better is a motorized chair for the elderly & disabled.”

“The selection of meats is fresh, and they will cut to order. The vegetables are fresh, and the selection of general staples is wide. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. And the whole place feels like a family run business. I've been to many Latin markets from Nasvillle to San Diego. This one in Candor is my favorite. It'll probably be yours if you stop there too. I'm actually be going there today after work to pick up some food for church meal tomorrow.”
“Really enjoy going to Tommy's. It is still what I call a real Mom and POP country gas station. It's not run by over sea ppl either. When you walk in they make you fill welcomed and like family.”

“Dollar General is my place! The store in Biscoe is usually the one I shop at. It always appears to be clean. The employees are friendly and helpful. I always find what I’m looking for, except for people freaking out over paper products and buying it all up. Not DGs fault. My only complaint would be that the last few months the Monster Java (mean beans specifically) have not been stocked in the cooler. I would understand if they were sold out but the shelf will be full most of the time.. other than that, nothing bad. Always good experience shopping there.”

“i came in there one day to get something cold to drink because I had a terrible day at work that day. I left my wallet at home and forgot about it until the cashier rang me up. Her name was Amy I believe and I was short $1:25 for the drink. I realized I left my wallet at home and told her I was sorry I would put the drink back. She grabbed the can and pushed it towards me and said go ahead honey I’ll buy it for you. Let me tell you meeting somebody like her definitely brightened my day up. You guys should keep and strive to hire employees like her. Amy if you read this your an amazing human being! We need more people like you in this world.”

“It's a Pretty good little Store slam dab in the Middle of a pretty small Town. Store is Clean, has Good Bathrooms, all the Regular Necessities. Considering the Restaurant is Shut down now above it, I would give 5 Stars if They Served Hotdogs, or Some Kind of Hot Food. They could Make a Killing off of it, that's for Sure. Anyhoo,, I got to goo,, Mikey Out. Oooooh Yeah!!!!”
