Grocery Stores in Valdese, NC

“Documenting top-tier salvage and discount grocery operations is a key focus of my work as a Local Guide, and I am thrilled to leave this five-star review for Banana Box Grocery located on US-70 in Valdese, North Carolina. This store serves as an exceptional resource for value-driven shoppers, providing an incredibly organized, welcoming, and budget-friendly atmosphere that helps people cut down their grocery spending significantly. The storefront interior is consistently clean, well-lit, and systematically arranged, making it an absolute breeze to navigate the deep discounts on frozen foods, pantry staples, boxed snacks, and liquid refreshments. They even feature an impressive array of bargain vegan and organic items. The layout stays neatly managed, allowing you to easily browse their frequently changing stock. The floor attendants and register team are remarkably polite, gracious, and dedicated to fast service. This Valdese location is a premier destination for smart households, easily earning a well-deserved five-star rating!”

“A bit small but lends itself to ease of shopping because of the overall size of the building, however it's by far the cleanest of all local grocery stores in the county. +Update+ still my favorite food Lion in burke county”

“The only problem with this and every Dollar General is the staff shortage! The corporate office should have to work 1 week in their stores ( especially on delivery and stock shelves) to see that their employees are overworked, overwhelmed and underpaid. No, I have never worked in retail but I see this constantly in every Dollar General I have shopped at.”
