“Love this place! They have hardware items, convenience foods, drinks and gas. I go here for their boiled peanuts ?! Located on a main thoroughfare and close by makes it easy to find those hard to find items.”

“This place is great! The staff are so friendly. They had everything we needed, including a paint that was not in stock at any hardware store anywhere else. I ordered it online and it was ready almost immediately. All staff were so helpful and kind. Also had a great deal on plants and other items we needed! Ill do the drive again just for the sales.”
“Chris was very helpful with diagnosing and fixing our EGo mower. We dropped it off one day and it was fixed the next day! He also kindly sharpened the blades, which are now sharper than when we first bought the mower. Chris's help was very much appreciated! We will definitely return to Saines if we need any more help with the mower.”

“Northwest Ace Hardware #18300 in Mountain View, NC has once again reminded me why I go to Ace whenever I have a complicated project.
I came in needing some very specific and unusual parts related to a couple of adventure and waterman projects. One involved replacing a lost lockdown component for a pristine vintage Grumman aluminum sliding seat in my 35-year-old custom Maine Sculling boat — a long, sleek 21-foot beauty that runs straight and fast like an arrow through water. I needed a stiff plated all-thread wire in an uncommon size and configuration, and Dale took the time to truly understand what I was trying to accomplish and found exactly what I needed.
On another project, I needed an oval pinch clamp (which I learned is properly called a ferrule) along with flexible wire to create new lockdown loops for two surfboards. Seth and Eugene not only helped locate the correct parts, but went into the shop and used an angle grinder to cut the wire to the exact length needed.
All three of these gentlemen were patient, knowledgeable, and kind to this old waterman trying to keep old gear and new adventures moving forward.
That matters.
I tend to go to Ace when I’ve got difficult or unusual projects because the people there are willing to jump in with you instead of just pointing toward an aisle. Northwest Ace continues to prove that.
Fair winds and following seas — I’ll be back.
