“Thank you to the gentleman who helped me today. Saved me from buying a new ceiling fan. I was trying to buy a bulb that fit my fan but couldn’t find one. He explained a replacement wasn’t fitting because the metal sleeve at the base of my old bulb which had crumbled was probably still threaded into the bulb socket. After shutting the power off at fuse box, I was able to use a screwdriver and pliers to remove the old threaded sleeve. He was right - thank you!!”
