“Had a great experience during kitesurfing lessons. Jim took great care of my father and I. He made sure we were both comfortable with each new skill and made sure we knew how to use all the safety equipment. Well worth the 3 hour lesson!”
“My son and I went for a father son experience before he left for college. Brendan and the entire team at REAL were fantastic. The setting was beautiful, the accommodations were excellent, the food was excellent and getting to know Brendan and having him for a coach was exceptional. It’s a challenging sport, but they do a great job at every age and level of experience. We will certainly be back.”

“Great place to learn how to windsurf! Family owned great prices. My friend and I were sailing within 30 min of our lesson. Burton and Reider were friendly and very knowledgeable about different water sports and the Hatteras Island area. They extended our lesson with another hour and didn't charge us any extra money for it. The sound behind the shop was great place to learn - warm waist deep water and good wind conditions. We are looking forward to going back to learn kiteboarding there next.”
