“When I tell you this bookstore is absolutely beautiful and eclectic, I truly mean it. From floor to ceiling, the shelves are packed with books ranging from vintage finds and timeless classics to newer reads, making it feel like there is something here for every kind of reader. They also carry stunning leather bound books along with drawing supplies for the artists and creatives out there.
Wandering through this bookstore felt like stepping into a magical little world that I genuinely did not want to leave. Even though we stopped in close to closing time, the owner never once made us feel rushed or like an inconvenience. She was incredibly welcoming, kind, and happy to have us there.
This is exactly the kind of local shop I will happily return to again and again, not just to continue exploring the endless stacks of books, but to support and see the wonderful people who run it as well.”
“I visited The Roasted Bookery for an evening sip and paint watercolor class. It was comfortable and welcoming; everyone was friendly and relaxed. We each created two simple but attractive watercolors. The combination of snacks, meeting new people, and a gentle activity was perfect for me!”

“Pretty easy to find stuff - but can be confusing for freshman - since the upstairs is the bookstore and the downstairs is an extension, I've gone up and down a lot when first starting at UNCW.
I would recommend asking the person downstairs if you need help before assuming all the stuff you need would be upstairs”

“Every time we go, we always want to go in and stay forever. Curl up on a couch and just start reading. It's cozy, friendly, and the Starbucks is always popular. Its an experience and a fantastic way to spend the rainy afternoon. The discounted books are also really great value. They're interesting and you learn something that you normally would not choose to read.”
