New Hanover Humane Society saved the pet that I adopted from a high kill shelter. We are extremely happy with the pet that we adopted. They were helpful and professional. They work hard to save pet and find good homes for them.

We adopted Lyra (originally Lyric) from the humane society last year. She has been such a wonderful addition to our family, so gentle and patient with our toddler. They’ve become inseparable. The adoption experience was very pleasant as well and the staff very kind. Thank you again ❤
