“I have a ford 2006 F150 4x4 XLT and boy oh boy they quit making the OEM for the air intake motor and we are having to use after market parts and they have had to replace it 3 times and after the first time it happened they forewarned me if it was a different issue then the 30,000 mile/3 year warranty wouldn’t apply and I would have to pay like the $700 in labor and the original fix was over $1500 for the parts, labor, oil change. He was telling me all the issues it could be and if it was my Air intake control manifold it could be the flappers it’s a common issue. He was just being honest and letting me know the best and worst case. I got so upset and got in my head and started thinking how do I know this person is honest and is going to tell me it’s the flappers when it’s the motor. And there was a miscommunication with the first fix. I would have also had them install a new air intake control manifold because that’s the labor I paid for but they just changed what was wrong which was the motor. But the issue did end up being the motor so it was under warranty and he even gave me the option of getting a new air intake control manifold At their cost while they were already in there and had it apart so I only had to pay for that new part. Now it has happened 2 more times but has nothing to do with the shop it was there after market part. So these people are very honest and have stood by their warranty. I will say I just got the truck back a week ago today and only went probably 50-60 miles and my O2 sensor just came and it says stuck lean and is a vacuum leak or seal from the last fix and I know they will stand by their work and make sure all the connections are good and all the things are plugged in. It’s not actually a bad O2 sensor, I guess this can be a common occurrence with the air intake manifold and air intake motor being replaced. It’s only been 100 miles since the air intake control manifold has been replaced and 50 miles since the last motor change. I guess it takes the computer that long to actual read and poop for a code! But I know they will make it right, a simple vacuum leak or something came unplugged. I have never had a shop that stands by their warranties and honestly like Gene and his employees and I just love the gentleman at the front desk. He always has such a great personality, always smiles and if he was having a bad day you would never know it. So I will talk to you tomorrow Gene’s, this truck is gonna be my last reason I tell ya! (That’s a joke). I would like to add in a single mom that was in a horrible car wreck that broke me in half and I only live on disability now at the age of 43. We need more people like Gene’s. Yes they might be $20-$50 more for certain things but they are honest and stand by their work. I was the one that had to take accountability and get out of my emotions when the initial fix happened. He was doing his job and I was making assumptions and trying to take my past traumas with mechanics out on Gene’s and putting them in the same category and they are not! Stay blessed!”

“The professionals at Porters Neck tire and auto have been amazing for me!
My first experience with them was a flat tire that they plugged for free! Naturally, I returned to them when I needed to buy new tires.
And my last situation with them was that I had my car towed there because it broke down. Unfortunately, the engine had died and was going to need to be replaced. They suggested I take it to the dealer because I had a 50-50 shot of the dealer replacing it for free. I’m happy to say I just got the news that I am going to get a brand new engine installed in my ‘out of warranty’ car for free!
The guys here are honest, trustworthy, and reliable and I can’t recommend them enough.”
