“Black's was recommended to me by the roadside assistance guy who put my spare tire on. I was in need of 4 new tires anyway. I went in on a Saturday and because my tires are small and not super common the blonde guy who helped me had to order them. I dropped my car off Monday morning and it was ready by 1pm or so. Joe called once and said I needed some new brake pads so I had them put those on, too. My little car needed some work and Black's really did a great job. Both the counter guys I spoke to were friendly and helpful without being pushy and I feel like I got a good deal for 4 tires, pads, oil change, inspection. I would definitely recommend Black's to anyone looking for quality service.”

“I took my Terrain to Ken, when a sensor for my break system went bad. Unfortunately, the part was on back order. Ken went the extra mile to try to find me one as quickly as possible. He then spent extra time having it reprogrammed … and had several modules reprogrammed. for me He saved us A LOT OF $$$$ vs/ what we would have paid at the dealership.Additionally, it was time for an oil change, and he took care of that as well, for a fraction of the cost at one of the traditional corner oil change garages.We were delighted to hear , he checked out the vehicle thoroughly to ensure my husband and I the car was mechanically safe for me drive .A Honest, reliable, KNOWLEDGEABLE and reasonable PRICED mechanic. So I called spoke to Margie immediately she got right on it. She found me a transmission. She ordered it for me. I paid for the transmission upfront. She told me a date to have my car there. I got the car there on that date. 2 days later I got my car & it works great. She also had a battery & starter put in my car at no extra charge. I am one happy customer!!”

It takes him time but I'm willing to wait all the time in the world to work on any of my vehicles any time.Not only does this place find the right parts, good quality parts and workmanship, and it's done right the first time. Test drive results also so many miles he wants call backs also. On his works Now that is a quality and great values in a local small business.But fixing my magnum and finding the issues was fabulous. I didn't have a gas tank leaking a had a rotten rusty nut that was holding the fuel injector system on the gas tank that was leaking above the gas tank and when you over filled the tank system that's when you smelled gas fumes and it leaked -Another garage wouldnt fixed my 'brakes' that had a lifetime warranty on them fyi another local company in castle Hayne bc the man said I had a 'gas tank' leak and my car was going to blow up' Lol but we won't go there nor state his name or local company.Avery's is the best place in Wilmington to get work done . “I was very impressed with Bill's honesty, integrity, and willingness to help. Originally, I thought I might have had a transmission issue. Bill said he might not get to my car for a couple of days, as he had a lot of work backed up. The same day, I was pleasantly surprised when Bill called me and told me that he ran the code machine on my car, which showed that two of the cylinders were misfiring, which can cause the car to not speed up and cause transmission lockup. Despite being busy, he found the time to deal with my issue. Rather than just going ahead and replacing the transmission without telling me like many would have done, Bill suggested to me to take my car to my mechanic to have him deal with cylinder misfires, and then bring it back to him to see if that solved the problem. I unequivocally recommend All About Transmissions !”
