“First off let me say that I have always/do enjoy shopping here and but for my experience today I would have given 5 stars. I'm a frequent shopper not because I need anything but because I love a bargain. However today I noticed 1. that there's been a big beautiful change in that the shelves are excellently organized. Kudos for that! 2. and I don't know if the uplift is the reason for the uptick in the prices but since #1 has happened so has #2. What is bothersome about this is that when a BARGAIN store's products come from 100% DONATED items which means ANY amount they SELL an item for the store has made a 100% profit off that item. And it's not for me that I question the price increase for because EVERY time I go to the store I go needing NOTHING and leave every time having bought items I don't NEED. Shopping there is a senior citizen past time. My concern for the price increase is for the people who come to a second hand used items store because they TRULY NEED items they can purchase at BARGAIN store prices.”

“I had a great time on my treasure hunt at UC Winston Salem as I am from Baltimore MD. The dollar days are so exciting & worth the hunt. I found a knitted Addidas hat, A new Madewell bucket hat, a pair of metallic Reeboks, a pair of snakeskin Addidas high top tennis, & gold cross-body Fossil purse, All for 1 dollar each!! Yesssss Uptown Cheapskate is where its at!!! If you haven't made the trip what are you waiting for???”

“The Closet is my favorite nearby thrift store. About 2 years ago I found a lovely dining room table there and chairs all wood, light color. Heavy. $125 and they delivered it because I live close and had no way to get it home. I still love it. I have no dining room. Just a space to use for a dining area. It's perfect for my home. They even threw in the table cloth. Going back this weekend for more cool finds. I've found many goodies there. Excellent customer service, too.”

“Whatever they use to deodorize is so good I asked about it. No old clothes smell here! Shopped longer because of that scent machine. I paid $5 each for designer jeans and shirts. Went in to find a Kuerig. Found two for $15 and $20.”

“Love this location, I visit it often. Goodwill in general has become more and more of a retail store. I cannot get over the $4.99 for a T-shirt. A brand new Tee at Hobby Lobby is $5.59. At most T-shirts should be $1.99. I understand operating cost and staff wages but I've seen better looking Tee's in the buy by the pound bins then ones that are hanging on the racks. It's hit or miss with the household goods as it always has been that way.”
