The Holiday Inn Bismarck offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay with friendly staff and clean facilities. Guests appreciate the nice rooms and the amenities such as an outdoor fireplace, indoor pool with hot tub, and a bar/restaurant. The bar staff, especially the bartender, are often praised for being attentive and friendly, making guests feel welcomed and appreciated. The hotel’s location is considered great, providing easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. However, some reviewers mention that the restaurant’s food and menu are mediocre and that breakfast is not complimentary, unlike at the nearby Holiday Inn Express. Guests often find better breakfast options just nearby, and some feel the in-house breakfast is not worth the extra cost. One unique experience involved a front desk staff member who, despite initial confusion over a reservation, provided memorable and helpful spoken directions, turning a potential problem into a positive story. The lobby was noted to be very cold during one visit, with no heat available, which was uncomfortable. Additionally, the parking fee of $5.40 per night was mentioned as an extra cost. The hotel’s shower design was described as unusual and somewhat inconvenient. Overall, the Holiday Inn Bismarck is praised for its beautiful design, friendly staff, and good amenities, though some aspects like food, breakfast, and lobby temperature could be improved.
We reserved a conference room, sales department was great.

Be aware that they charge a $5.40 parking fee each night. Lobby was very cold (no heat) during our visit. Restaurant menu and food is mediocre. You can definitely get a better meal for the same price at any of the surrounding restaurants.

Had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Bismarck, the people were friendly, the coffee was good. I was told the breakfast was really good as well. The beds were hotel beds, not a tempurpedic but any means, but still decent enough.
