“We recently found out my teen daughter has Lupus and Polymyositis. This was a great first lasting impression for the Fargo location. My family was blessed to be able to utilize services provided by the Ronald McDonald House of Birmingham, Alabama back in the early to mid 90's when my baby sister was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease, so the non-profit organization is familiar. We were welcomed with open arms. Each staff member we encountered was polite, helpful, attentive, and full of other resources. We didn't get a chance to fully explore or engage in any activities, because we arrived approximately 15 minutes before midnight. Our appointment was before 10:00 a.m., so sleep was the best option as we'd traveled 6 hours to get there. Overall, our stay was great, everything was clean, there was plenty of room for my family of 4, it was was quiet and peaceful, and the location of The Ronald McDonald House for us was perfect! Over the years, I've donated numerous times because you all make it so convenient and stressless for parents like my late mother and myself by assisting us with emotional, mental, and financial support as we navigate our way through our children's health journeys. Thank you so much for being a part of our healing process! It takes a village!! Respectfully!”
“I am now a Elks Lodge member. I've experienced great service, tasty food, good drinks and met some awesome people, the staff is outstanding!! Happy to be a member. Thank-you!!”
“From giving blood to showing up in emergency situations like hurricanes and wildfires, the American Red Cross is a heaven send. They treat their volunteers supremely from training us up in our areas to helping in our careers, they have been amazing people to meet and learn from.”

“As a kid from Arizona, who had just moved to North Dakota the YMCA (the 24 times I went) was one of the best experiences ever. I will always talk about how great the sauna is to everyone I meet.”
“Just had my wedding here, it was a great experience! The outside space is beautiful for ceremonies and they had plenty of space inside for all of our guests, buffet setup, and the dj! All of the space and assistance for a good price!”
“The life coaches are wonderful. It's a wonderful program for single mothers with young children going back to school, and becoming successful and showing there kids that anything is possible and moms gain a sisterhood with mothers all over the USA.”
“Love finding that gem on a day when your just browsing through the local resale thrift shop this is the place and they support families and disabled individuals to be more independent!!!”
“The team that works on weatherization is amazing!! They check what needs to be done by testing how much heat loss is occurring. They return and get the project completed within guidelines they have no control over. When they are done they test their work to make sure it made improvements. There was a team of four fantastic guys who showed up to do my weatherization work. Unfortunately I only snapped a picture of two of the guys. All four guys treated my home, my pets and me with respect. Have I been denied service in the past, sure. But when I have qualified for any programs with Sendcaa I was always treated with compassion and respect! Thank you to a wonderful organization and the amazing people who work at Sendcca”
“By far, my favorite thrift store in the area. They practice what they preach and actually care about the mission they stand for. Everyone that works there or volunteers there is friendly and compassionate about what they do. All around a good experience. The shopping area is organized and the pricing is reasonable for the cause.”
“EAP is such a wonderful program! I loved my counselor and found such a benefit from seeing them regularly. Always a huge fan of The Village and their awesome staff!”
“While I can't speak to the current staffing and administration I can say that my stay here as a child was pivotal in becoming a functioning adult. The Fishers and Mr Wilkie were the structure and guidance that I needed when nothing else seemed to work. The staff were as caring as 20 somethings getting paid a smidge above minimum wage could be expected and then some. I learned to play magic the gathering. I learned how to advocate for myself when I felt things were unfair in a safe and constructive way. I learned how to make stromboli and how to wash dishes right. The biggest thing I learned was to believe in myself.
If you are reading this as someone possibly getting put here. Please understand you can only get what you take from a place like this. The experiences you will have here will likely become fond memories if you are willing to do the work.
If you are looking to place someone here. Try to work with the people caring for your loved one. Having the family/support team on board helps tons. Trust the process and understand that there is a good chance you might get dragged into some personal development of your own. Be ready to grow with your loved one.
I know he doesn't work here anymore but on the off chance Demar (I hope spelling isn't too far off) the old spiritual life coordinator as well as my primary for my stay, is reading this or someone can show him, you and your brother gave me a respect for men of God. Even though I don't walk the path myself I know now that there are truly Godly men among us. I fondly recall hours and hours of theological debate and those little Starbucks in the Barnes and nobles trips. Hope you are doing ok!”
“Fast checkin. Went home with a boat load of gluten free products and other non gluten free products..Shared forward at the Senior living apartments complex where I lived so many more could experience the gratitude of Fargo residents generous donations to helping those in need.”
