I have been with FCCU since I opened my first checking account at age 14. I have always had good service, but since moving to Fargo, it has been subpar. I went to the Northland branch to deposit and check and order a new debit card. The teller advised that I could go to the 45th or 52nd Ave branches and they could print one for me right there. Great! :-)The next day I made a special trip to the 45th Ave branch from my apartment--I live by the dome.I pulled up to the drive through and asked if I would be able to get my card reprinted. The teller advised me that I could only get my card reprinted by coming in to the lobby during lobby hours, and she reminded me that the lobby closes at 5. At that point I was just a little annoyed. I work from home Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30, with 2-15 minute breaks and 30 minutes for lunch. According to google maps, it will take 13 minutes one way to get from my apartment to the bank.My question becomes--exactly when could I go to the bank when the lobby is open based on my work schedule, because no location has lobby hours on Saturday? The Fargo FCCU locations are out of touch with what members need and seem to put up unnecessary roadblocks for what should be a simple request. Could she not have offered to open the door to the lobby to facilitate this request? If I hadn't been with FCCU so long, I would find somewhere else to bank at.She did order me a new card, but the back office staff had went home and it would be processed on the next business day.

I needed to cash a digital check today. If you have a digital check FCCU can't help you. First they told me that checks had to be printed it out, so I asked if I could email them the PDF for them to print off for me. They said they weren't allowed to do that. So I went down the street to Bremer Bank (where I don't even have an account) and asked them what I should do. They happily printed out the check for me, and then I headed back to FCCU. When I got back the teller told me they can't accept the check and she told me they thought I was being scammed. I have deposited several of these checks at my other bank, so I was forced to drive across town, cash the check and drive back to FCCU for a third time to compete my necessary deposit. It's always a headache with this bank. These people make the simplist things extra difficult.

Would not recommend. The overall experience with this bank is bad. Things were much more complicated than I have ever experienced before. Also when it comes down to it they can’t do little things to help you out. Very out of touch with the people.

I recently called regarding some questions I had about my account. Landon was VERY helpful, caring, and pleasant to talk to over the phone. He answered all my questions and provided me with the best experience at a FCCU bank. I plan to use this location more often due to Landon. Thanks Landon!

Said they were open hours listed were incorrect. Made a special trip to be able to cash a check there without a fee. Couldn't even get in, had to go somewhere else.

The staff is friendly and courteous. They never seem crabby when I roll in 5 min before they close because that’s the only time I can get there.

Looking for a new bank or Credit Union, after 10 yrs with this bank. I was told that they could not help me recover a transaction that I never received the product. They wanted 50.00 to process the form I needed to file to request to get my money back. I feel that this bank does not have my best interests and has policies that are to protect the bank and not the members of the bank.

If you're looking for an incompetent credit union pretending to be a bank, look no further.

Great care from the FCCU. When I moved to Fargo, I knew I had to leave my small state bank in Montana, and needed another small bank that actually cared about its members--FCCU was it! I've had a few times where I had issues with my card due to traveling and large purchases and they were able to fix everything right up over the phone!

Angie Thomas helped me refinance my car about three years ago and saved me stockpiles of cash on interest rates. You can ask me "what's in your wallet?" but don't expect the answer to be Capital One. Local Credit Unions are without a doubt the way to go. (Also, shout-out to my Mom and her Tier One credit score for cosigning with me and helping me make this happen.) Recently, Angie offered to refinance the loan. I've been thinking about doing it because I'm close to the 110% LTV that would secure an approval, but still on the fence about it. Anyways...
