“Recently had an older domestic car into Braaten's north location. Had recently had an oil change at one of the big dealerships in town that informed me I had an axle seal failing amongst other things on their checklist. The manager at Braaten's (Ryan) was very upfront with me and explained that there was a small weeping of the seal. However that given the age of the car, and the very minor nature of the leak, that it wasn't a necessary repair at the moment and to just continue monitoring it every so often. It most likely will be a non-factor for the remaining life of the car. He could have done the expensive seal repair and I would have been none the wiser but instead i just had a few dollars of routine maintence. Braaten's gained a new customer as after this visit, if they tell me something is needed, I will trust that it's actually needed. I fully recommend them.”
