“I went here for the first time with my boyfriend the prices are great you get some really good deals some of the food Is a little past the best before date or expiry or will be expiring soon that's why you get such a good deal. It is very busy though I wish the store was bigger yes I know they recently had an expansion and the cashier accidentally scanned my juice twice. I got all of this for $86.”

“Hard to make a bad choice here. Everything I've tried has been great, and as someone who often forgets about meals until I'm already hungry, I appreciate a quality frozen dinner. I do find it a bit pricey though, so I usually wait for sales and stock up.
The staff at this location are very cheerful and personable, and always have an informed recommendation ready if you're looking to try something new.”
“We dropped in for the Independance Cookout on Aug.5. The curried goat and jerk chicken were fantastic! This store is a gem and an asset to the neighborhood. I make sure all my international students know where to find Gloria's when they arrive in September. They sell products for customers the big grocers ignore.”

“I am so grateful to have this market in the neighbourhood. There is nothing better than getting off the ferry and going to grab some local produce on my way back home. This is my favourite time of year to go as I can get cherries, strawberries, peaches and other treats. I also like how they carry other local products. I have been able to purchase Nova Scotian made products as well at their store. Love the new location, much easier to move around in.”
“While the grocery prices are a little high, its the price of supporting a locally owned business. The environment is nice and their espresso drinks are to die for. I find myself coming back quite frequently for their white mochas (with oat milk) specifically :) I also really liked their seasonal option of the tiramisu latte! Sooo good!!”

“Not sure what company runs the flower/ horticulture shops for Sobeys in Halifax, but they truly do an AMAZING job!! I am particularly impressed by the delightful array of flowers and plants always presented at the Queen St. Sobeys: they are always so well taken care of, and such a wonderful and ever-changing variety of species and varieties!! “The locally made (Scotsburn) ice-creams here are a must-have if you're visiting. I recommend the chocolate peanut butter one that made all attempts at being a resilient adult seem like a distant dream.Decently priced and right next to the scenic Point Pleasant Park, so going for a walk with it was very satisfying.”
