“I’ve been getting my medicine from here for a couple years now, I have chronic pain and anxiety and often struggle building up the confidence to leave my home. This team of humans always help me feel welcome and safe. Greg always remembers my name and that makes me feel like I matter. I live all the way in Dartmouth and travel pretty far just because they’re kind to me. My meds are always ready when they say they will be, they’re willing to fax in prescriptions when I need a refill and it takes weeks to get into the doctor, they let me ask all my embarrassing questions without judgement. I feel lucky they’re here.”

“This is a very nice community pharmacy. The ladies here are quite special with their sincere friendliness.Do you know what they sell here? A novelty paperback about what was going in the west for current events from years back, with a different year in focus for each paperback. It's a fun gift add on for a birthday. My dad was born in '48. I got him 1969 when he was a young man. It's very short but longer than a greeting card and comparative in price to one. They have all kinds of cool nick knacks and a few very nice clothing items too. I buy energy drinks and collect guardian points.”

“Today I had the pleasure of meeting Trey, a pharmacist who truly went above and beyond in helping me! I had come in after being without my prescription for a week, and in a rush. And although she didn’t have the right prescription in stock, Trey immediately arranged for the other pharmacy on Quinpool to have it ready (which is also an amazing pharmacy btw!). She even went so far as to CLOSE up her shop temporarily and gave me a RIDE to the other pharmacy, knowing I was in between classes and short on time. Despite being super busy and working all alone, Trey’s kindness and eagerness was truly appreciated! This was easily one of the most genuine and compassionate interactions I’ve ever had with another person and especially with a healthcare professional. I also have friends who have only amazing things to say about her and this pharmacy. Thank you so much, Trey! I highly recommend her, this pharmacy, and the one on Quinpool to anyone needing pharmacy services!”

“This store is usually terrific. However there have been instances recently of really long line ups for pick up of Rx's. I had a call saying my Rx is ready for pick up. I went to the store and waited in a line of about 8 ahead of me. Approx an HOUR after arriving I got to the window at the pharmacy. I was told the Rx wasn't ready and would I mind stepping to the side to wait for it so they could serve others. I was livid and I said so. I told her yes I mind very much. To this I received an exaggerated eye roll. I said nothing more because I was so angry I knew if I said anything I would regret it and I would probably st weeping as I do when I'm angry or upset. That almost sent me to another location. I spoke with the pharmacy manager and she was ver apologetic and said I was certainly not treated the way I should have been. I haven't had a problem since.”

“We have been using Costco pharmacy for about a year now. Other than that they’re very busy there we have had zero problems The staff are always helpful and the pharmacists give good advice on our meds. The price beats any other drugstore. We use the app to order our meds online, and it makes ordering and having refills ready when we come. We highly recommend them.”

“I have been going to Moffatt's Pharmacy for all my prescriptions since 1996 and have dealt with all their employees at the Dartmouth Court location long closed. And the location on 184 Portland St. also for my prescriptions and can say some times people have an off day some bring it to work and some don't and the one employee that always has a smile and a kind word is Lori who since 1996, I have had the pleasure of interacting with her getting my prescription needs filled or questions answered. In my humble opinion she is a valuable asset and employee at the Moffatt's franchise. Happy Customer”
“Good place and location for basic needs, no fuss and simple. A little kitschy with their product selection in the front (think cheap mass produced products designed to look 'small business' that could have a 'Live Laugh love' sign for sale if it was popular still. Seasonal stuff you find in most pharmacy/stores.
But I still like the place. I wish it had more produce selections and maybe expanded themselves with frozen goods or local foods. and I hope management treats their workers well, they have always been nice folk who are doing their best both at the pharmacy and store front.
It's a good place for some basic needs. Not all, but a good selection.”

“It's a good store, it carries a lot of good stuff. However, I had a very itchy rash and the pharmacist sold me the weakest strength cream, they did absolutely nothing for me. After talking to a different pharmacist at a different location I got the right stuff. Highly disappointed by that.”

“We were on a short vacation in Halifax and realized we had left some critical medications in Toronto. A call to our home based pharmacist told us we had to coordinate thru a local SDM. A search of SDMs in Halifax listed this location as the best. Totally agree with the ratings as the pharmacist listened and told us she would coordinate with our pharmacist and have the 2 prescriptions ready before noon. Great friendly service.”

Can access compounded medications through this pharmacy. There are still NOT a lot of pharmacies, within Metro or even Nova Scotia, with whom you can get a compounded medication, such as Thyroid, if you are unable to tolerate taking the usual medications such as Synthroid etc. For many years I had to get my medication from Ford Pharmacy in Moncton through the mail or by the bus.”
