“I’m originally from Texas, but I’ve been staying at my family’s place in Hammonds Plains for a while. I’ve been going to the Esso here the past few days, and there’s a guy working the afternoon shift who has the best customer service. He always has a smile on his face and is very decent and respectful. I also noticed he was working on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, which is really motivating. He truly sets a great example, and I genuinely hope he gets what he deserves.”

“This is another one of our local gas stations; because my husband works for Irving Shipbuilding, I think he just feels like part of the team and needs to buy gas here, ha! The store is always clean, and has a great variety of items. This is where we usually get our propane, too. Love that if we forget to go to Costco for milk, they have competitive pricing on 2L on Thursdays and Fridays.”

I’m also truly impressed by the cleanliness and upkeep of the washrooms—they’re honestly some of the cleanest I’ve ever seen at any gas station.

“Hats off to Lauren! She had a very rude customer pressing her on a pump discrepancy of 2 cents. She politely explained the policy between the pump and register pricing and that the pump is the correct price. He was still getting angry with her. She once again explained the policy and he wasn’t going to except her explanation. I stepped in and told him to stop harassing the woman, he cursed at me and left. Lauren was professional and calm thru the encounter. Hope she had a better day.”

No extras like a car wash, although they do have a very tiny Robin's donuts, if you're into that sort of thing!”
“I’ve Known This Gas Station For A Few Years, I Always Had a Great Experience With The Manager Tim He Always Got The Job Done & When I Needed Help With The Gas Pumps Or Questions About Anything He Always Delivered! If I Could Rate The Gas Station overall and Customer Service From him A 10 I Would Some Of The bad reviews Listed at the bottom made no sense to me And Felt Not Real! Because this is a station that never failed to impress! I’m Thankful for This Station & Tim Definitely Would Recommend going here if you’re in need of gas! Or anything really!”

“I really appreciate the snacks and it’s Always clean. I have one complaint. In the bathroom you can’t sit down because the toilet paper dispenser is in the way. I went there once and it was removed but then they replaced it with a bulkier one. A truck stop needs a big boy toilet with lot of leg room. Also one time there was juice boxes in the fridge. It would be great if that was regular”

“On 2021-05-09 afternoon I pumped Gas to my SUV at this location and after an hour I noticed that I lost my wallet. Went to this location and asked from the nice young lady whether anyone returned a wallet. A kind hearted lady found my wallet at the gas pump and returned it to cashier and she returned it to me. My heartiest thank to the kind lady who found and returned it to cashier and the young lady who work at the cashier for keep it in custody.”
“Amazing employee and community member at this location! I just watched an elderly woman try to purchase food at this location and even though what she handed the employee wasn’t enough for the purchase she was assured that it in fact was. After leaving the employee took out her own credit card and paid for the remainder of the purchase. We can all learn from this incredible person. Irving you have a wonderful employee!”

“Love the fact that you get gas 3.5 cents cheaper when you pay cash/debit. However, and I know this sounds ridiculous, but when I buy my gas here my mileage goes down. I dont know if it is the quality of the gas or my imagination but in a full tank of gas I get 50-75 km less than if I buy it at Esso or Irving.”
