“This is the go-to place for wall-banger prices on quality meats- especially chicken. Top quality and excellent prices. The staff here is amazing as well, friendly and helpful and always with a smile. A small parking lot at the north end of the store is augmented by a large parking area directly across the street, also premium parking on the street store-side at a hit-or-miss . Sam's also has a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as regular grocery staples. This is definitely a place to be checked out !”
“One of the most amazing health food stores I've ever been in ~ jam packed with incredible products ranging from food to body and home items, with so many locally made goodies from small businesses/artists/creators, it just feels so wonderful to support a local business like this one. Also, special shout out to Travis Hare who was beyond helpful + incredibly generous with the info he's picked up working there, and recommended a product to help with sleep that has been working better than anything else I've tried and helping SO much! “Good local grocery store. Has all the basics and some decent deals. Owned by Sobeys so you can collect Scene points and get the Compliments brand goods here as well. This is exactly what you expect, and need, from a smaller grocery. If you want a full array of options you’ll need to go to New Minas to the larger Sobeys or Superstore.”
“A rural makeshift Costco is the warehouse format they have chosen. fronting many Kirkland products in the store, prices are $1 or $2 or $3 more than what you see at your local Costco warehouse an hour away in the city. So there are some deals to be had, and sought-after products from Costco available in the countryside in New Minas Nova Scotia. I'm sure it is appreciated by the locals. Store is neat and there were many workers stocking the shelves during the day, and returning karts. A good mixture of items with a lot of walk-in style freezer items also. It's worth a trip to see if it fits your family.”
“The customer service experience, the different menu options, as well as convenience are all Top Notch and I would definitely give them five stars in those category. The only reason why I would give them four stars overall is because of the price. It really isn't cheap. And you do pay a premium for pretty much everything but you pay a premium and you get exceptionally good quality. That's the thing, the old expression you get what you pay for is very true when you buy anything hereSome of the options that they do offer, it is a little difficult to actually make a decision on what to order. You see, they will have for example lasagna. Why you might initially assume that all lasagnas are made the same that's not true in the slightest. The regular lasagna in my opinion is a much more inferior product than their supremas on you which is a much much better product. The price difference between them makes it kind of a no-brainer to get the more expensive and better product than it does to get the cheaper one. There are a lot of other times where some of their cheaper products are obviously the best value but a lot of the time, they're more expensive product which is marginally more expensive is actually the much better option”
“I appreciate Carl's Independent in Wolfville so much. Everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful and clearly very hardworking. They carry an excellent selection of products given how small the store is. It's easy to zip in and grab a few things quickly but it also supports my household shopping needs. On a few occasions they've been able to start carrying new products that I've requested and I think that's pretty cool as I'm not sure it would have happened at the bigger stores.”

“Lisa's Independent, Previously known as Jason's Independent is finally open! Me and my boyfriend were very fortunate to witness the grand re-opening. What a wonderful event. We've been going here for a few weeks now and we can proudly say the staff are super friendly, The store is so much cleaner, Welcoming and very organized. I'd say this store has more of a selection in terms of basic needs than before. They even have an entire section for organic, Vegan and gluten free! I was really impressed!
