“I went here for a blood donation in July. It was, all in all, a great experience. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, and reassuring for a first time blood donor. The volunteers working check in were very helpful, and the nurses were excellent. Shawn (dunno if it is spelled that way) was awesome. He took my donation, and knew the answer for every little nervous question i had. Found my vein immediately, and had a deft touch for everything. I will definitely be participating again as soon as I am able. Also, you get a free ticket to Cedar Point, which is valid until September of 2021! Cant recommend them enough.”

“Excellent place & excellent people! They have all the tools you need for any project, and will kindly teach you how to use them.

I did the Wood Workshop Safety Course last night, which was beyond my expectations! You leave the course with your very own custom charcuterie board, which teaches you how to use many of the tools and techniques in the shop.

Thank you Akron Makerspace for existing!!”

“Free kitten!!!

Giving 4 stars because I know I'm emotional right now and can't properly review them. Have a stray kitten that was abandon at my job site. We've had her for a week to see if anyone wanted her but can't keep her. Brought her in, they checked with cat boss and said they were at max capacity. Okay I get that. I'm sure the place is amazing and I was going to g
rab a volunteer application while I was there. I offered to pay her adoption fee and foster her if they could find her a home. Unfortunately they couldn't do that either so I'm posting here & hoping. She is the sweetest... so if anyone with a good home would like an amazing and adorable free kitten, please message me.”

“First, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to United Way of Summit & Medina for your incredible work in our community. I had the privilege of receiving help from Leesa Bruback. Her kindness, professionalism, honesty, intelligence, humor, and warmth truly put me at ease with my housing situation.

Although it might be her job to do what she did, I am deeply grateful for the support she provided. Given my current situation, I truly appreciate any help I can get, especially from someone who clearly cares about their work.

Being homeless far from home, can be overwhelming, but talking to someone so dedicated to helping me, despite my situation, brought me comfort and joy. She brightened my day and put a genuine smile on my face.

There are many out there struggling with addiction, homelessness, or trauma. I hope they find the support they need to inspire positive change in their lives and the motivation to uplift others.

P.S. Whoever took your company photos did an outstanding job. Everyone looks wonderful. And I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful morning.

Thank you, Leesa.

Best regards,
Call me Ishmael.”

“The Akron Community Foundation literally allows our nonprofit serving the visually challenged to thrive and accomplish our mission. Their support allows us to uniquely serve an individual's as well as County's needs in an environment that is otherwise unserved. They make it a point to understand our unique needs, function and benefits through compassion, dignity, generosity and collaboration, in an irreplaceable and supportive manner. We, and countless nonprofits are indebted to them and responsible for justifying every dollar their support allows.”

“I enjoy stopping her and shopping around for needed items. They offer good deals and with owning a home and always into projects they are a good place to look for random items for the home.”

“Unions support the middle class. They also set prevailing wage for non-union projects. If unions die, then so does prevailing wage for non-union workers. A land without unions is in a race to the bottom.”

“My first time at the bins, spent $20 and satisfied with what I purchased. Didn't find much at the retail store so did not make a purchase there. I felt their prices were a little higher than what I was willing to pay.”
